About a two-hour drive from Sydney, it's located just off the Princes Highway, yet away from the hustle and bustle. It's a great stopover or a great base for exploring the Shoalhaven area. 🛏️ Comfortable room, warm details We stayed in a family room, which was more spacious than we expected. The interior design is simple and clean, with a modern yet warm feel. The bed was soft and comfortable, and the bathroom was bright and clean. It also came with a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, kitchenware, tea making facilities, and a refrigerator. For families driving, convenient parking and quick check-in made us feel at ease. 🏊 A surprise in the backyard - the pool is right at your doorstep The most special feature of Avaleen Lodge is the outdoor pool in the backyard. Stepping out the door, you're greeted by a sun-drenched blue pool surrounded by lush greenery. It's simple yet relaxing. The kids were eager to change into their swimsuits and splash in the water, while we sat on the poolside chairs and watched them play. This "room extending into the pool" experience evokes a sense of homely comfort. It's not the grand scale of a large resort, but rather small, beautiful, and just the right amount of intimate. 🌳 The Relaxing Courtyard Atmosphere In addition to the pool, the lodge's grounds are spacious, with beautifully manicured lawns, perfect for strolling and taking photos in the afternoon sun.
