Carleton Place: A Mini Town with European Charm and Scenic Beauty

I am a travel blogger and global traveler at Ocean View Tours. Please follow me! (This is the 1800th original travel photo post published in 1043 cities across 57 countries/regions on 5 continents) Carleton Place is located 46 km southwest of the capital, Ottawa, about a 40-minute drive. This town has beautiful scenery and a peaceful life, with a history of over two hundred years. Canada's Mississippi River (not related to the longest Mississippi River in North America within the United States) flows north through the town into the Ottawa River. In the early 18th century, relying on the water resources of Morphy's Falls on the Mississippi River, mills were established here, and European immigrants gradually gathered in this place. With the increase in population, Carleton Place was officially designated as a town in the late 18th century. The government building by the Mississippi River is the scenic center of the town, with most of the town's attractions concentrated on both sides of the river. The old street's ancient buildings, waterfalls, and old mills are all worth checking out. It is said that many people who work in the western part of Ottawa now choose to live in this town, making it the town with the highest population influx in Ontario and the fastest-growing place in Canada. Address: 175 Bridge St, Carleton Place, ON K7C 2V8
