I don’t understand how someone in such an impeccable city can come here to avoid lightning

After living in New Zealand for more than a month, if I were asked to pick a favorite city, Dunedin would definitely be on the list. This city is located on the east coast of the South Island. Some self-driving tourists may even ignore it. What a pity! It is called the "Edinburgh of the Southern Hemisphere". As soon as I arrived, I was attracted by the strong historical atmosphere here. When I walked out of the city, I saw the charming natural scenery, which was very different from the impression of New Zealand. I stayed here for two days and when I left I really regretted not staying longer. 📍Port Chalmers A hidden corner of Dunedin. Take bus No. 14 directly from the city. It only takes 20 minutes to reach this beautiful port. Driving along the coast, the scenery is great. The cathedral halfway up the mountain dots the peninsula, surrounded by mountains and the blue sea, and there are many steep slopes. The experience is very special. Don’t miss these two observation decks when you come here: 1️⃣Lady Thorn Dell Lookout 2️⃣Flagstaff Lookout There are so many places to visit in Dunedin’s urban area. You can take a full city walk. The following are my favorites. I recommend you to visit them all~ 📍Museum Tūhura Otago Museum It is probably the best museum in the South Island (the one in Christchurch is still under repair). The collection is of very high quality and it is free to open. I went there twice! There is simply not enough sightseeing, and the introduction to marine civilization is very exciting. 📍Toitu Otago Settlers Museum There are many internal collections, as well as many antique cars. Passing through the museum is the Chinese Garden Orchid Garden, which is the sister garden of Shanghai Yuyuan Garden. 📍First Church Of Otago A very majestic cathedral, with a towering spire reaching into the sky, it is great to see both from a distance and up close. 📍Dunedin Railways Dunedin Railways A very popular train station, where you can directly book train travel for the same day. 🌊There is also the "Tunnel Beach" which has a very high reputation. Unfortunately, it was closed when I went there. I didn't have time to go to "Lanark Castle" and "Sandfly Bay", which also gave me a chance to return to Dunedin again. Reason ~
