The moment the ride began, the cold December air rushed past my face, carrying the scent of cinnamon, roasted nuts, and warm Glühwein drifting from the festive stalls below. As the carousel lifted higher, the glowing lights of the market blurred into soft golden circles, and the towering dome of the Frauenkirche shimmered against the night sky like something from a fairy tale. From the top of the Ferris wheel, the entire Altstadt unfolded beneath me — rooftops dusted with snow, cobblestone lanes glowing under lanterns, and joyful crowds moving like a river of holiday spirit. For a few magical minutes, I wasn’t an adult visiting a Christmas market…I was a kid again, laughing freely, wrapped in magic. 🎡🎄💫
