Saint Lawrence‘s Church

A little way up the High Street of Burton-on-the-Water is the Parish Church of Saint Lawrence. This interesting church with its doomed clocktower invites further investigation. The oldest part of the present structure dates from the 1100s. In 1784 the Norman church was largely replaced with one of a neoclassical Style seen today.
