Why are there deer living in Hiroshima, the city of the atomic bomb?

I never expected Hiroshima to have so many attractions and activities to enjoy. I initially went to see the Atomic Bomb Dome, a remnant of the destruction caused by the atomic bomb, and was surprised by the large number of tourists, especially Westerners. The streets were bustling with various types of streetcars, making it fun to choose and ride them. After visiting the Atomic Bomb Dome and Hiroshima Castle, the day was already over. The next day, I took a ferry to Miyajima and highly recommend seeing the red torii gate floating on the sea. On this island, deer roam freely, delighting tourists with their charm. I tried Hiroshima's specialty, okonomiyaki, but to be honest, it wasn't quite to my taste. Hiroshima, a city marked by the tragedy of the atomic bomb, now appears incredibly peaceful, as if that day never happened. Only those paying respects to the victims seem to remember the horrors of that time.
