Scenery and Wildlife Viewing at Jasper

We travelled to Jasper National Park in Canada in around end September to catch the Autumn colours, and hike a few of the mountains. We were pleasantly surprised to catch glimpses of wildlife too. Jasper is the largest of all the Canadian Rockies national parks, which spans approximately 11,000 sq km (4,247 sq mi) from just south of Grande Cache to the northern edge of Banff National Park. To get to Jasper, we flew to Vancouver, rented a car and drove to Banff before arriving at Jasper (we wanted to explore both parks). While Banff is more popular, Jasper is more scenic and beautiful, and because it is relatively quieter, chances of spotting wildlife such as bears, goats, elk and bighorn sheep is much higher. Jasper is also the home to some incredible features, such as Mount Columbia (Alberta's tallest mountain) and Maligne Lake (second-largest glacial-fed lake in the world). It is surrounded by snow-capped mountains. There are so much which one can do in Jasper such as hiking, biking, camping, fishing or simply driving/walking around to enjoy the beautiful scenery and spot for wildlife. #hiking#nationalpark#lakes
