Huge park in the heart of Madrid

I tried to visit the Prado museum, but hadn’t planned in advance and the ginormous line was a big turnoff. Since the park is right next to it, I decided to go for a stroll and that was the best decision. When I visited in early November, the autumn leaves were all over the park and it was quite pleasant walking through the fallen leaves. The Crystal palace (closed when I visited) and Velasquez Palace are also in the grounds and there’s no charge to visit them. Definitely a great way to relax in Madrid.
