Situated in the lovely and picturesque city of Tagaytay, South of Manila, Reynaldo's Smoke House aims to bring food that not only is tasteful but also brings out a bit of flavor of what Tagaytay has to offer. Sure, people have been clamoring about the Wagyus, or the Angus for a long time, but we're a firm believer of our very own local flavors, and we then proudly introduce to you, the Batangus! So happy to have discovered this place, really! It took me a while to write this blog because I was thinking I was too ecstatic to write right after dining. But now that I’m in the proper head space, I can assure you that all the things you’ll be reading are 💯 accurate. We were coming from Matabungkay, Batangas and Stefan suggested that we have lunch at Reynaldo’s at Tagaytay. He watched it from one of Ninong Ry’s vlogs haha, and we decided to give it a try. Ahhh, my favorite, the best kare-kare I’ve ever tasted (no joke), Reynaldo’s Corned Beef Kare-Kare! The beef is so tender and the sauce – just perfect. I love how creamy the peanut sauce is! The veggies are wonderfully blanched too. I would seriously go back to Reynaldo’s just to have this kare-kare one more time.
