Datun Mountain is located at the junction of Datong and Menyuan counties in Qinghai Province. It is the main thoroughfare for Qinghai to Gansu. Daban, in Mongolian, means Yamaguchi, mountain. There are many mountains in the Qinghai Plateau, and Daban Mountain can only be regarded as a small witch, but because of its special geographical position, it is famous in the plateau. The valleys on both sides of the Daban Mountain are opposite in altitude.
