Outdoor winter fun

Île Bizard is a lovely island located right next to Montreal island. It's a mostly residential area but there is also a nature park which is lovely to stroll/jog in, especially in winter. The park is not very large but the landscape is varied and it is very enjoyable to walk around. There is a parking around the beach area, but it is chargeable. If you don't mind walking a good 30 mins in the woods (around 50 mins return) then you can park for free in the residential area. The beach area is especially spectacular in winter ad the water is frozen over and you can walk over it; this is an especially special experience. A word of caution though, just make sure the ice is hard enough to support your weight. The area is very calm and in winter there is a very calming quietness to the are, especially when you're alone! The overall landscape is lovely to capture in pictures so it's a great place for both great pictures and light exercise. Dress warmly though as it can get cold once you're outdoors; always better warm than sorry! #winter #outdoors #explore #Montreal #Canada
