I saw this tea house on Instagram last month and immediately booked a day trip to Newport! Afternoon tea at the Chinese Tea House in the backyard of the ultra-luxurious Marble House is $65 per person, including sparkling wine, an afternoon tea platter, a main course, dessert, and a pot of tea—a generous and filling meal. Reservations are a must! Otherwise, you might have to wait in line for a long time. You don't need a Marble House ticket to visit this place. With its stunning ocean view, everyone was taking pictures! 🤳 However, Marble House has beautiful Christmas decorations until the end of the year, making it well worth a visit! It's worth mentioning that this Chinese tea house was used by the lady of the house in the early 20th century to secretly gather young people to advocate for women's suffrage in America. Inside the mansion, you can also learn about the legendary stories of this incredibly cool lady! While reading the introduction, I overheard young women around me expressing their admiration for the hostess and casually remarking: "Rich women fight for a better world, rich guys buy boats, buy yachts, race horses!" I almost burst out laughing. And…Newport's Christmas decorations were absolutely gorgeous! No wonder it's New England's most worthwhile town to visit during Christmas!
