Before coming here, I was worried about safety based on various information I found online, but when I spoke to hotel staff and security guards on site, they told me there was no need to worry about walking around during the day, so I was able to sightsee safely, focusing on downtown. It's a wonderful city where nature and culture coexist in harmony. The Fox Theater and Paramount Theater are must-sees, and it was fun to come across all the vibrant wall art just by walking around. I also think that the locally rooted apparel store Oaklandish is definitely worth a visit. #oakland
