Strolling through the streets feels like stepping into a medieval film. The nighttime views? Pure fairytale magic. Getting There Set off early (around 8:30 AM) — it’s a 3-hour journey from Glasgow Queen Street, but the drive is worth every minute. Rolling hills, shimmering lakes, and stunning landscapes all the way — don’t sleep through it! What to Do • Arrive by noon, grab some lunch. Local seafood is a big deal here (though I couldn’t quite handle the oysters myself haha). • Spend the afternoon wandering around town — take your time, every corner is photogenic. • Discover artisan shops and handmade crafts, perfect for gifts or keepsakes. • Try the fish & chips here! Way better than any I had in Glasgow. Tip: The gift shop at Oban Station has beautiful souvenirs and artistic postcards — great for meaningful keepsakes. Oban is also known for seal-watching boat trips! Check the boat schedule in advance if that’s on your list — sadly, I missed it, but it’s definitely worth planning ahead for.
