#hellochristmas Extra Christmas-specific tips for Rotterdam 2025 - Biggest Christmas market: “Winter Wonderland Rotterdam” in the city center (usually around Beursplein / Coolsingel) with an ice rink, big wheel and lots of chalets. - Ice skating: Ahoy arena has a huge indoor ice rink (Ice*Amsterdam style) and there’s often an outdoor rink near the Markthal or in Kralingen. - Luchtsingel & rooftop walk: The yellow pedestrian bridge and orange rooftop route are lit up and super Christmassy at night. - Hotel New York: The old Holland America Line building on Wilhelminapier – beautifully decorated, great for Christmas high tea or dinner with a view of the lit-up Erasmus Bridge. Rotterdam in December is cold (around 2–7 °C), but almost everything is walkable or easily reachable by metro/tram. Bring warm clothes and good shoes and you’ll have an amazing time!
