Melbourne's backyard, the Mornington Peninsula, is a great place for a family trip. Ashcombe Maze & Lavender Gardens is Australia's most famous hedge maze, with a beautiful circular rose maze and a lavender garden that blooms all year round. It's a great place to come for brunch and a stroll around the garden. To be honest, the maze isn't that interesting after a couple of visits, but the weather was great when we went, which made everything feel full of life.
