At the beach in Kocaeli, Turkey

The region of Kocaeli is located on the North West coast of Turkey, next to Istanbul. Surely the beach here is not as beautiful as in the southern regions but the area is actually very pretty and perfect for walks when the weather is nice. In Darica we usually spend the weekend days walking along the sea or sitting on a bench to admire the waves. There are several restaurants in front of the beach that are managed by the municipality where you can have a cheap meal with a beautiful view. It is very peaceful and relaxing.
