Meramec Caverns (MO)

#holidayitinerary Meramec Caverns mixes natural beauty with outlaw history, and I loved that combination. Walking through vast chambers filled with colorful formations was awe-inspiring, but hearing about Jesse James hiding out here made it even more exciting. The lighting effects added drama, highlighting formations like the massive “Wine Table.” The scale of some rooms felt cathedral-like, with stone curtains draping in impossible shapes. Above ground, the area along the Meramec River was just as relaxing. Meramec Caverns gave me both nature’s grandeur and a taste of Wild West legend. #holidayitinerary
