The Dom Tower

#hellochristmas The Dom Tower is the most iconic landmark and pride of the city of Utrecht, symbolizing its long history and magnificent Gothic architecture.the highest church tower in the Netherlands, with a height of 112.5 meters.The tower was originally part of St. Martin's Cathedral.In 1674, a terrible storm struck Utrecht and destroyed the unfinished nave of the cathedral. As a result, the Dome Tower stands apart from the rest of the cathedral(now known as the Dom Church), with the former nave becoming an open space called the Domplein. This event became an important part of the tower's identity.
