It’s easy to spend a few hours drifting between museums, craft shops, and cozy cafés. Early mornings are quiet here, with just the sound of footsteps and the distant toll of church bells. Rating – 8.5/10 Copper Coast Geopark Address – Coastal stretch between Tramore and Dungarvan, County Waterford Highlights – One of the most spectacular coastal drives we’ve ever taken. The Copper Coast feels wild and windswept, where cliffs drop into the Atlantic and narrow paths lead to hidden coves. It’s geologically significant, but mostly it’s just breathtaking: empty beaches, rolling farmland, and sudden bursts of sea air. We hiked a short trail near Bunmahon and sat on the edge of a cliff, watching waves break below. Not much in the way of crowds just silence, sea, and stone. Rating – 9/10 Waterford Greenway Address – Trail begins in Waterford City and runs 46 km to Dungarvan Highlights – Rent a bike or just start walking. The Greenway is a converted railway track stretching across bridges, viaducts, and tunnels with views of the River Suir, the Comeragh Mountains, and the sea. It’s flat, peaceful, and absolutely beautiful perfect for a slow travel day. We stopped in little villages along the way for coffee and conversation with locals. Everything feels more grounded when you’re moving this slowly. Rating – 8.5/10
