The ancient buildings of Dali Village in Xiangzhou, Guangxi.

The ancient buildings of Dali Village in the Qing Dynasty originally had seven lanes, eight rows of twenty-four houses and a clan hall. Due to the long history and the reconstruction of the villagers' houses, there are now only four lanes, three rows of eleven houses and a clan hall, covering an area of about 1523.5 square meters. Each house has a patio at the entrance, and the patio is paved with stone slabs. The house is built on a three-level vertical platform with a width of 13.9 meters and a depth of 9.07 meters. It is divided into a main room and a secondary room. There are two eaves columns, and the lower part is a square drum-shaped stone base, which is carved with lions, deer, flowers and plants. The foundation of the house is mostly made of square stone masonry. The exposed part is lined with three layers of relatively regular stone strips. The house is a brick fire wall, and the eaves are a beam-lifting structure. Each house covers an area of 213 square meters, all facing east to west, with clear secondary rooms and side rooms. The roof tiles are made of flat tiles, and the tile heads at the eaves have a ruyi-shaped drip. The drip is engraved with the word "shou" and a pattern of entwined flowers. The yin tiles are made of tube tiles, and the tile heads at the eaves have round tile dangs. The tile dangs are engraved with the words "shou", "hui", and "he". The eaves and door pillars are all painted with entwined flowers and patterns like ancient coins. With the passage of time, the ancient buildings of Dali Village have been scarred by hundreds of years of wind, frost, rain and snow, coupled with the poor protection awareness of the villagers and man-made damage. The surviving houses are only half of the original scale. The construction skills of the ancient buildings of Dali Village are listed as the second batch of intangible cultural heritage protection list in Xiangzhou County.
