Today, the church retains two architectural remains: one Gothic-Renaissance structure, which includes the sanctuary, three pointed windows, star-shaped vaults, towers, and choir stalls. The other is Baroque-Classical, with an interior adorned with crosses and Corinthian pilasters. The church has three naves. The central nave is taller and wider than the side naves, with a polygonal apse and a vaulted star pattern. The side naves are covered with simple cross vaults. The main entrance features a simple, Classical portico. Another entrance, located on the episcopal side, is protected by a wooden portico. Spain's Atlantic Coast Pilgrimage ~ Basque Country Also known as the Calvary of Durango, it is located in the Museo de Santo in Culuza. It represents an unusual Calvary with social, religious, and allegorical connotations. It is a 4.3-meter-tall monument. The base is a polygonal pedestal, with the Serpent of Heaven coiled around the pillar. Another relief depicts the Expulsion from the Garden of Eden, while on the other two sides we can see Eve's temptation and Adam's sin. The upper part of the drum is engraved with images of the Apostles. At the top is a cross. On one side, it depicts Calvary, Jesus' crucifixion, and Mary and John; on the other side, Mary holds the Child Jesus, standing between Saint Catherine and Saint Agatha. #SeptemberDestinations2025#SpainTravel#VizcayaAttractions
