Koh Larn Travel Recommendations for 2023 (Updated in Nov)

A day trip in Koh Lan in Pattaya, Thailand. Very easy and cheap to get in the small island in Pattaya. Just take ferry at Bali Hai Pier for only 30 bath ($2.8 Aud) for 30-45 minutes. If you want to go to the different beaches around the island just rent motorcycle for 300 bath ($14.75 Aud) a day. The food are cheap and reasonable. There were a lot of Chinese, Indian and local Thai tourists around Tawean beach as people like to swim there. There are Songtell mini bus that can take you around the island which is very cheap. The water is crystal clear in Tien beach and there will be the geese come out at 2pm for you to take a photo with. Koh Larn Island is a great getaway close to Pattaya!

Getting There - 40 min by ferry from Bali Hai Pier, Pattaya. 30 THB/person. Koh Larn is the closest island to Pattaya, with very well developed infrastructure. There are 2 piers and 6 main beaches on the island. Ferries from Pattaya bring tourists directly to Ta Waen beach or to the port village of Na Ban on the other side of the island. You can travel between the beaches by tuk-tuk for 20-40 THB/person, by motorbike taxi or rent a bike. It’s just 40 minutes boat trip from Pattaya Bali Hai Public pier to Tawaen Beach in Koh Lan island. If you take public boat you just need to pay 30 THB for one way ticket. On the pier also available other options such speed boats for 150 THB one way. Please note, that last public boat is on 5 pm. On the beach you can enjoy local restaurants and sunbathing. This weekend, we decided to go to pattaya and Koh larn, from pattaya pier, it costs us 30 bhat to get to the island. there are lots of beaches where you can gettin tanned and swim. one of my favourite ones is Nual beach and Samae beach! long and white sand, the water is crystal clear. there are also lots of viewpoints where you can appreciate the beauty of the island. there are few Buddhist temples and statues of Thai monks on the island. if you like hiking, Tawaen and windmill viewpoint will be your top 2 stops on Koh larn. the last ferry to go back to pattaya is at 6pm, so we are pretty lucky to experience the golden hours on the island, and watch sunset on the ferry! anyways, lovely place and it’s close to Bangkok. perfect for your weekend trip #passionpassport #gooutside #beachlife #bucketlistreboot

this is one of the most popular and beautiful beaches in Koh Larn. there are lots of ways to get there, since there is also a pier here, you can get to this beach straight from pattaya. we got here by scooter. the way to come here is absolutely stunning. first you will pass by Tawaen beach viewpoint, that’s also where you can take nice pictures of the beach. Just keep in mind, this beach is extremely busy, there are lots of restaurants and shops on the beach, it’s quite expensive to get food there. if you drive a bit further, you will reach the next beach named Tong Lang beach, it’s a lot quieter and calmer from my perspective. overall this is a nice place to chill! strongly recommended #passionpassport #gooutside #beachlife

Koh Larn Island - Pattaya

I've been to Pattaya so many times but today is my first time visiting Koh Larn Island. I took the boat from the public pier, Bali Hai, in Pattaya (located at the end of the Walking Street. The trip to the island took me about 40 minutes. All the ferries are on time and very easy to buy the ticket. Once you arrived at this island, you can go to have a nice Thai lunch and have a cheap drink. #mytripvlog

beautiful beach with amazing city view!

this is our first beach to visit in Ko Larn. this is a lonely beautiful beach, really quite and relatively small, but this is the beach where you are able to enjoy the skyline of Pattaya city! from here, there is speed boat to get to the monkey beach, there are also lots of water activities you can do, for example, jet ski and snokerling. this is also a nice beach to relax and swim!! there are few restaurants here where you can get food and fresh drinks, with sunbeds. overall this is a nice place to chill there is also a walking path on the right side of the beach, you can walk across the little forest, then you will reach this empty rocky place where you can overlook Nual beach. anyways! you should def stop by here if you are in Ko latn#passionpassport #staycation #gooutside #beachlife

#2023travelwish this is the hotel where we spent our Christmas holidays this year. The staffs were really friendly and helpful, they helped us with our suitcases and bags. the location is really nice which is located on this beautiful beach where you can enjoy a nice sunset on this island. there is a restaurant onsite, and the food is pretty decent. we really enjoyed our stay! Getting There - We took the ferry for 30 baht from pattaya to koh larn and rented a scooter for 200 baht. from the pier it takes you around 15 minutes to drive to this amazing beach. A white sandy beach with clear blue water and gentle breezes most of the time is what makes Samae Beach my number one choice. This beach is visited by 800 to 3000 people a day during the high season. Transportation to this beach from Na Ban pier is 50B. The cost of each beach chair is from 50 to 100B for all day. Food is readily available as there are many restaurants that line the entire beach, you can bring some of your own food along if you like. When you want something to eat or drink you can order right from your beach chair and have it brought to you. This beach measures 537 Meters long, so for those that need to do a Kilometer walk or jog just go from one end to the other and back and that is your 1K. There are plenty of activities here such as jet ski, banana boat and snorkeling. There is a very nice, large Resort located just steps from the beach called Xanadu. They have free shuttle service from Naban Pier for their guest. have a conference hall that can accommodate 200 persons.
