Harvard University Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
When it comes to world-renowned universities, Harvard University is probably the first school that many people have entered into their minds. So, when I came to Boston, we went to Harvard University to get some batik. There are many interesting stories on the
Harvard campus:
The statue of Mr. Harvard is not his own, but two people together, one in the upper body and one in the lower body, but there are still many people who believe in touching him. The feet can be contaminated with academic success. The
Masser Building is Harvard's oldest building and the second oldest school building in the United States. It is now the principal, the Academic Director and other offices and first-year dormitories, so staying in this building Students have to be the most disciplined students and can't be in the dorms.
Harvard House, there were two Harvard buildings. In 1764, a small fire broke out in the Harvard Library, and the whole building was burnt down. Only one book was brought out of the library by a student. Fortunately.
The whole campus exudes a literary atmosphere. Before leaving, I did not forget to take away the leaves on the campus, hoping to get a little bit of the slogan.

I really love the rural scenery overseas, the beautiful countryside of Massachusetts!
Massachusetts countryside. A state that is relatively close to New York, also a state blessed with famous universities such as Harvard and MIT, a state that has produced several presidents, and a state that produces Hollywood stars like Matt Damon. What is its rural life like? It's like the Red Apple Farm, as calm as it can be, it's about sowing and harvesting all year round, and then savoring life

Massachusetts Institute of Technology Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
It can be said that it is the most striking building on the entire MIT campus. It is a masterpiece by design master Frank Owen Gehry. Now it is the computer science center of MIT. It is enough to see the design of this era from the outside. Sense and outstanding engineering skills.
At first glance, its a little weird. Its like a piece of bricks without any rules. Its said that this is the inspiration that Frank found when he threw the draft paper into the trash can. Its really incomparable. Casual design.
No matter which angle you appreciate the building, you can see the angular elements of the triangle, and then always feel that it seems to fall down at any time. Because of the holiday, you can't just enter the teaching building. It is said that there are also various statues and oil paintings. It sounds like it is more like a modern art exhibition room.

⭐️The Great Dome is the iconic building of MIT. It was modeled after the Seth Low Memorial Library at Columbia University, designed by the firm of McKim, Mead, and White (imitating the Pantheon in Rome). The dome was originally planned to be used as a large auditorium, but budget constraints prevented its construction. Major events at MIT are held here. Some graduation ceremonies and celebrity speeches take place in the square in front of the building.
⭐️The center of Schott is known for its colorful and bizarre shapes. Inside, there are famous figures such as linguist Noam Chomsky and the founder of the World Wide Web.
If Harvard is full of artistic and humanistic atmosphere, then MIT exudes a strong scientific atmosphere. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit!

Cambridge's history can be traced back to 1630, when the earliest English Puritans who settled in the Boston area established Newtowne here. In 1636, Harvard College, the predecessor of Harvard University and the first institution of higher education in North America, was founded here. People hoped that this town could become a university town like Cambridge in England, so it was renamed Cambridge in 1638 and was not upgraded to a city until 1846. As the location of world-renowned universities such as Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge has produced 130 Nobel laureates.

Harvard Yard Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
There's something inspiring about strolling through #harvardyard. There's a peacefulness there, but also a sense of melancholy at what might have been had we other made different choices in life or had the fortune to be born with better opportunities. Anytime I was in Cambridge, I'd make a point to visit Harvard Yard.

let's go to Harvard Square
World-renowned "Harvard University", a must-visit in Boston!
Boston is a famous university town, home to Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University. Our itinerary in Boston is 4 days, with one day dedicated to visiting Harvard University.
❶Address (Cambridge, MA 02138), take the MBTA red line to Harvard Square and walk about 5 minutes to reach Harvard Plaza.
❷ Famous attraction: (lots of red brick buildings)
⭐️Harvard Square, where you can find many Harvard souvenirs. Whether you're returning home after graduation or traveling, you can choose to buy some souvenirs to bring back or give to family and friends.
⭐️Wadsworth House, located next to Harvard Square, can be seen by entering through the Wadsworth Gate. It is now used as offices, but during the Revolutionary War it was where leaders researched battle plans.
⭐️Johnston Gate, the officially recognized main entrance of the university.
⭐️John Harvard Statue, a landmark building of Harvard University, also known as the Statue of Three Lies, meaning he never took a photo in his lifetime haha. Legend has it that touching the shoes of the statue will improve academic performance, everyone is welcome to come and try.
⭐️The Coops, Harvard's bookstore. In the center of the bookstore hangs Harvard's school emblem, which consists of three books with letters that combine to form the Latin word for "truth," VERITAS!
⭐️Widener Library, the largest library at Harvard University.
⭐️Fogg Art Museum, located in Harvard University, houses a collection of Western art treasures from the Middle Ages to the present day. It also includes murals forcibly removed from Dunhuang by Langdon Warner using glue, which I consider to be a very shameful act.
As a world-class university, Harvard has many places worth visiting, exploring, and learning from!

The Harvard Museum of Natural History Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Flying in the sky, running on the ground! Seen and unseen! Haval Nature Museum has it all?
All kinds of strange creatures in nature, seen and unseen, have specimens in the Harvard Museum of Natural History that can be seen!
From ancient dinosaur fossils to an astonishing number of bird specimens, various animal specimens, all kinds of minerals, the content of the museum is too rich, and photos cannot capture it all. I suggest everyone go and see it in person. The museum is not big and there are not many people, the exhibition area is on the third floor, but the exhibits are really comprehensive. Walking in, I feel like I am a person who has never seen the world before, as if I have seen a three-dimensional encyclopedia. I have been to many museums big and small before, but this is the first time I have seen one that is so comprehensive. If I have enough time, I even feel like I can spend an afternoon in there.
Originally went to the glass flower exhibition, but didn't expect to see so many specimens and fossils. When I went, I also saw a mother taking her child to visit. Compared to looking at pictures and encyclopedias at home, this is probably the best choice for children and parents. As soon as you go up, you can see the glass flower exhibition. All the flowers inside are made of glass, and they are really detailed and realistic. Every flower is beautiful. According to the introduction, these glass flower models were made for student learning, which may be the difference between prestigious schools, creating a museum as teaching materials. Most of the specimens in the animal exhibition area are real fossils and skeletons. I feel like those few rooms cover the whole world, and there are precious dinosaur fossils and various... The Harvard Museum of Natural History was established in 1998 and is the most popular museum on the Harvard University campus. It consists of three museums: the Botanical Museum, the Comparative Zoology Museum, and the Museum of Mineralogy and Geology. The Botanical Museum has a large collection of valuable economic and medicinal plant specimens, photos, artificial products, and archaeological materials. Among them, the glass plant models are the rarest collection. The museum has more than 3,000 such models, covering more than 840 plant species. The models are exquisite and perfect, and are unique in the world.
The Museum of Comparative Zoology was founded in 1859 and is part of the Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University. It houses approximately 80,000 mammal specimens, 300,000 bird specimens, 500,000 amphibian and reptile specimens, 1 million fish specimens, 1 million invertebrate specimens from both marine and terrestrial habitats, 1.1 million fossil specimens, 7 million insect specimens, and 10 million mollusk specimens, totaling to a combined total of 21 million species represented in the collection.
The Museum of Geology and Mineralogy is part of the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Harvard College, with collections dating back to 1784 and the museum established in 1891. It boasts an overwhelming 1.5 million mineral and rock specimens, including the oldest rocks on Earth dating back 4.5 billion years. Don't miss out on visiting if you come to Harvard!
Boston's must-visit spot for taking photos! Harvard Museum of Natural History! A place worth seeing 🌻.
Harvard Museum of Natural History's plant specimen gallery houses the world's unique glass plant specimens, known as the Glass Flowers.
These specimens were proposed by the first director of the Harvard Botanical Museum, George Lincoln Goodale, and were funded by Mary Lee Ware and her mother Elizabeth C. Ware, lasting nearly half a century from 1887 to 1936. Although the museum is small, it has a rich collection of specimens. 🤗
📍Address: 26 Oxford St, Cambridge, inside Harvard campus.
The museum has over 24 million collections of biology, minerals, plants, and cultural artifacts, making it one of the largest natural history museums in the world. The museum's exhibition halls are divided into three levels, each with a rich and colorful display of exhibits.
On the first floor, animal specimens from all over the world are mainly displayed, while the second floor showcases various plants, earth sciences, gems, and minerals. There is a hall dedicated to displaying dinosaur fossils, which should be one of the most popular exhibits here.
Harvard Museum of Natural History is a museum full of history, knowledge, and charm, and is a must-visit place for students, tourists, and science enthusiasts. Whether you are interested in dinosaur fossils or curious about animal and plant specimens, this place can satisfy your thirst for knowledge.
Hyatt Regency Boston/Cambridge Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Located in the Hyatt Regency of Cambridge, close to the Charles River, it was specially selected for driving, and sometimes free parking is available on the road next to the hotel on weekends. The exterior of the hotel is very spectacular, and the interior decoration has reached the international four-star standard. The two nights we stayed in were more expensive because of the holidays, with an average of about 1500/night, excluding breakfast.
The hotel has a mini-small rooftop overlooking the Charles River and the city of Boston. It is a good choice to soak up the sun and have a cup of coffee on the morning of the sun. The interior of the hotel is 10 stories high and I like the decor of their lobby. It is a place to enjoy breakfast. The hotel's rooms are large, with good lighting and the cheapest room prices, so the view from the Charles River is not outside the window.
PS: In the star hotels in the United States, breakfast usually has to add extra money, and it is very expensive, cheaper 15, and luxury hotels start at 20. Personally think that the choice of American breakfast is general, there is no good boutique hotel in Europe, the price is not very high, during the United States I am going out to find breakfast.
