SURFCOAST HOLIDAY STAY - LIVIN THE CABIN LYF
#familytravel #couplestrip #surfcoast #armstrongcreek #caravanpark #holidaypark #cabinlife #clean #quiet #geelongandthesurfcoast #wouldrecommend #geelong
only thing that was not great about booking last minute here ; was that a $200.00 bond was also required prior to the initial first nights stay. Cabins were clean, neat and private. Access to laundry onsite, kitchen /equipment available in cabin . Armstrong creek supermarket are within walking distance and bus stop practically out the front of the premises, would highly recommend for family’s & short stays.

The Great Ocean Road Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Up close and personal with Lamas
Australia is well known for the many animals you will see while driving on a road trip like sheep's, goats, cows and my favourite, LAMAS!
We were staying at seafarrers, a resort overlooking the beautiful ocean and we saw Lamas there were owned by the owner of the resort. Of course we had to go up to them and feed them.
They were honestly so adorable seeing them chowing down on the pallets. If you are an animal lover, I reckon you head down to Australia!

Most impressive coastal drive in Australia
#bucketlistreboot
Great Ocean Road in Southern Australia is one of the most impressive coastal destinations in Australia.
It is also one of the most beautiful scenic roads in the world. Stretching for 243km between Torquay to Wattnambool, the Great Ocean Road has a lot to offer: rugged cliffs, beautiful rock formations, scenic viewpoints, stunning beaches, charming town, wildlife and many more.
As there are so many things to see along Great Ocean Road, it will be overwhelming if you plan to complete in a day. Stretch it to at least 2 days with a night over at Port Campell or Apollo Bay.
Do check out if there’s any road work during the day you plan to drive.
Epic Great Ocean Road trip
This road trip was a perfect salve from the busy city life! The crashing waves, the trickling rivers, perfect balm for a tired soul.
Magnificent Twelve Apostles
#createwithtrip
Great Ocean Road is about 200 plus kilometres stretch of Coastline Road along the south eastern part of Australia. It was one of the most gorgeous attraction of Victoria state. I remember years ago when I was studying in Melbourne, we will always took this journey when friends or relatives visited.
You can either joined a bus tour arranged by local tour operators or if you prefer the flexibility along the journey, you can drive and stop at different scenic points along the way.
The most iconic part of the tour is definitely The Twelve Apostles. The formation of rocks raised from the sea is magnificent and rarely seen in other parts of the world. A great spot for photos and selfie.
Other unforgettable scenic spots include the famous lighthouse guiding the waterway of Anglesea at Cape airway. One of my other favourite attraction is the Loch Ard Gorge. you can actually take a hike down to the bay and explore the magnificent site. It is simply the best.
There are plenty of food joints along the way and you can stop at various places to savour the local cuisine. Among them are the famous town of Torquay and Port Campbell.
This tour is the perennial favourite and I would recommend it with my both hands and foots.

The Bellarine Railway - Queenscliff Station Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Queenscliff Station
#melbournetrip
Great little tourist train, beautiful scenery along Swan Bay. It also has special events like Thomas the Tank Engine, Blues Train and a Dinner train.
I did not do a train trip, but it's great to take pictures of the station and the train .The train trip is only available only on Sunday at AUD 25 for adult. it will be from Queenscliff to Drysdale. They also have a diner train which you can book and take a ride and have your meal on board.
If you plan a road trip to Queenscliff, consider visit this historic railway station.
All aboard!
We were staying at Point Lonsdale and the kids’ grandpa took us for a ride on the Bellarine Peninsula railway. The trip from Queenscliff to Lakers siding and back only takes around an hour and there is great scenery (Swan Bay) along the way. The kids thought the steam train was great and were even more pleased to have an ice cream at the end of the trip. Highly recommended

Point Lonsdale Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Mar)
Point Lonsdale Lighthouse 🇦🇺
#timetotravel
The Point Lonsdale Lighthouse, situated on the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria, Australia, is a charming and historic landmark that left a lasting impression on me. Standing proudly at the entrance to Port Phillip Bay, this lighthouse is not only a functional beacon but also a symbol of maritime history.
As I approached the lighthouse, the rugged coastal beauty of the area took my breath away. The views of the pristine beaches, rocky shorelines, and the vast expanse of the ocean were simply awe-inspiring.
Climbing to the top of the lighthouse provided a unique perspective of the coastline, and I could see ships passing through the bay. The history displayed within the lighthouse museum offered insights into its significance over the years.
Point Lonsdale Lighthouse is more than a navigational aid; it's a place where history, natural beauty, and the maritime world converge, making it a must-visit destination for anyone exploring the Australian coast.
