  • Japan Travels: We visited Osaka Castle 🇯🇵

    #wheretogo We visited one of the most iconic historical building in Osaka, the Osaka castle. It was very grand and beautiful up close, we are able to touch the powerful and strong stone walls that built up the place. We visited in the early morning and it was packed with locals and tourists entering the castle area and explore the area, there is a huge wooden bridge that we walked on into the castle grounds. We walked around the castle surroundings and enjoy the gorgeous sight of it. There are many people queuing up to enter to the castle top where they can see the whole 360 view outside the castle grounds, the ticket cost around 600 yen. There are also a few small shrine temples and a mall to wander explore, but the site we love the most is the pond nearby where we can take a nice photo together with the castle at the back. We also walked around the park just right around the castle, with many tall trees and flora to enjoy the nature. We were able to feel the windy breeze inside the place and feels so calm. After our visit in the place, we saw a local bakery that sells delicious bread and coffees, it’s called Kobeya Fresh Bakery in Morinomiya JR Station, it’s only a 5 minute walk from Osaka castle. Many locals were seen enjoying the pastry there and we tried some of their speciality too, we recommend the melon pan and cream bun, it was really good! A perfect spot to rest after a long walk in the castle.

    #timetotravel #travelOsaka #traveljapan The magnificent Osaka castle standing tall amidst the hustle and bustle of the city.Having only two days in Osaka last summer,the only place I couldn’t miss to see is the Osaka castle and i was lucky enough it was just at a walking distance from the lively hotel which i staying for the night.Such a sight to see as you pass the high rise buildings into the gates of the surrounding area around the castle,although it takes a bit of walking to get to the main castle,the entire area is just breathtaking and the sight of the main castle just makes the trip worth it.would definitely recommend for those planning to visit Osaka and would definitely go see it again if i’m ever in the area again.

  • Truly an Ancient Gem in Modern World

    #hiddengems Right in the middle of the tall buildings, hectic and busy city, lies the hidden ancient gem called The Osaka Castle. The place is easily reached by train and if you buy Osaka Day Pass, you get to enter at discounted price and cut the long queue. There is elevator and stairs to reach the top-observation place. The view from here is totally breathtaking and I am gonna let my pictures do the talking.

There are history of the samurai era. Video clips, storyboard, artefacts and many more. There is also quite a lot of nice souvenirs. I bought quite a few items. They also sell some of the popular snacks. I would have bought more if i had a bigger bag. This place is definitely a must on the visit list. #travel

  • Food tour around Dotonbori

    Dotonbori is a famous shopping street in Osaka, lining up with many restaurants and shops. Definitely, you are spoiled for choice here. We tried the Ramen at the corner shop which has a long line of customers. You can order first from the vending machine and pass the ticket to the staff. Save stomach for more food along the way. I highly recommend to come a bit earlier before 4pm as most of the crowd will start building up after 5pm. #citywalk

  • Glico man!

    Have you really been to Osaka if you've never snapped a photo of the Glico man at Dotonbori? There are quite some people especially at night when all the lights are on, but if you have time you can find the actual photo spot where you can actually stand on a running track with the Glico man. The whole area is great for shopping with many tourist-favourite shops and restaurants. You can also find famous street food like the 10 yen pancake. #osaka #japan

    If you’re in Osaka you need to head to Dotombori for the nightlife, it’s a hive of activity after dark. It’s famous for its illuminated store fronts with huge exaggerated features. It’s a great place to explore the streets and take great photos. it runs along a river and there are river boat tours if you’re interested, but most of it is doable on foot. There are lots of snack stalls, bars and wagyu restaurants but it can be very expensive on the street. There are also lots of waiters and hostesses trying to get you into the bars which can be quite annoying, so if you do want to eat and drink head to the quieter streets a few blocks away for a peaceful and better priced meal. #summerbreak #dotonbori #osaka #japan #mytripvlog #tripblazers #awesomepic

  • Foodie Adventure in Dotombori, Osaka

    Guys, I just had an incredible culinary trip in Dotonbori, Osaka's food heaven! It was a foodie's dream come true. So, my sister and I decided to start our gastronomic adventure by queuing up for this famous Okonomiyaki shop, and let me tell you, the wait was totally worth it! The Okonomiyaki was out of this world delicious. The combination of savory pancake, mouthwatering toppings, and that delectable sauce left me craving for more. But the foodie adventure didn't end there. We then headed to not just one, but two renowned Takoyaki shops with long queues. And guess what? Both of them lived up to their hype! The octopus-filled balls were perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and gooey on the inside, and bursting with flavors. I couldn't decide which one I liked more, so I happily devoured both. To top it all off, we ended our night by striking a pose in front of the iconic Glico signage. It was like being in a postcard, capturing the essence of Osaka's vibrant food scene.     Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan (海遊館, Kaiyūkan) is one of Japan's most spectacular aquariums. The aquarium's main attraction is the central tank, representing the Pacifc Ocean, that is nine meters deep and home to a whale shark. You start the tour of the aquarium on the 8th floor and slowly spiral down floor by floor around the central tank. Location: Tempozan Harbor Village of Osaka's bay area Getting there: About a five-minute walk from Osakako Station on the Osaka Municipal Subway Chūō Line, and is next to the Tempozan Ferris Wheel Hours Differs on the day. Typically 10:00 to 20:00 (entry until 19:00). There are small number of irregular closing days.     Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan is one of the world’s largest aquarium with many marine species. The aquarium is well-designed, making the walk experience great. Most people like the whale shark 🦈 exhibit as well as the penguin 🐧 exhibit. It’s highly recommended to purchase tickets in advance as the ticket queue may be long during school holidays and you may need to wait for your turn to enter the aquarium. #citywalk

  • Magical experience at Osaka Aquarium

    A truly once in a lifetime experience at the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan. Beautiful exhibit and central tank housing whale Sharks! I felt like a kid again in sheer amazement. The atmosphere is very tranquil and calming allow for a superior enjoyable experience for all ages. You can get lucky and watch the stay feed the animals as well and that alone is an memorable site to see! Forever locked in my memory.
