Because this city changed hands between France and Germany several times throughout history, the entire vibe is incredibly unique. It perfectly blends the ultimate romance of France with the fairytale architecture of Germany—an absolute perfect crossover! The media constantly dubs it "the fairytale capital surrounded by canals," and stepping into it truly makes you feel like the main character in a storybook! 📸 My Personal Must-Visit Checklist: 📍 Strasbourg Cathedral Standing 142 meters tall, this cathedral was actually the tallest building in the world for over 200 years! Its exterior is built with stunningly unique pink sandstone, and inside, you'll find Europe's most famous giant astronomical clock. 💡 My Honest Review: Catching a glimpse of it from a distance right after leaving the train station, I was literally shocked by its majesty! Under the sunlight, the pink sandstone gives off a dreamy purplish hue. The grand astronomical clock inside is as intricate as a piece of fine art—absolutely mind-blowing! 📍 La Petite France This is hands down the most Instagrammable spot in the entire city! The canal is lined with colorful half-timbered houses, with every balcony overflowing with fresh flowers. Paired with the reflections on the water, every single shot turns out gorgeous. During the day, you can even hop on a flat-bottomed boat for a super relaxing river cruise! 💡 My Honest Review: I was snapping photos like crazy here and just couldn't stop! But I highly recommend checking out the nearby Ponts Couverts (the three historic bridges) and the Barrage Vauban viewing platform as well. Make sure you visit during the blue hour just after sunset. Once the lights come on and illuminate the ancient bridges, the atmosphere gets so romantic that you'll definitely want to go on a date here! ▶️ My Final Thoughts: As the starting point of an Alsace itinerary, Strasbourg has the best transportation and facilities, making it the perfect base camp. Compared to Kaysersberg, which I visited earlier, this place is on a much larger scale. It has the vibrant energy of a big city while perfectly preserving the charm of an old town. Planning a one-day, one-night stay for a leisurely stroll around the city is just the right amount of time!

A half-day trip around Königssee! We happened to have half a day to spare, and with the gorgeous weather, we decided to head to Ramsau to admire Bavaria's quaint bridges and bubbling streams. I was absolutely blown away! The scenery along the drive was breathtaking—snow-capped mountains framed the windshield, surrounded by lush green meadows, until charming wooden cabins began appearing on both sides as we entered the town of Ramsau. We parked near the church 🅿️. Right across the street, there was a lovely shop with exquisite items, where we browsed and picked up some little souvenirs. A short walk ahead took us to the famous photo spot, which unveiled itself like a beautiful painting. All I can say is, you guys have to come see this! Just make sure to pick a day with good weather. You can get stunning shots effortlessly just standing on the bridge. We also went inside the church ⛪ to cool off; it had a wonderful woody scent. I truly feel this town is blessed with incredible charm and a refreshing vibe—definitely worth a visit. Parking in Ramsau is free for two hours. Just a few minutes' drive further ahead, you'll find the Zauberwald (Magic Forest) and Hintersee.

Aside from the skin being a bit too salty, everything else is fantastic. The meat is so tender, and the portion is way too big for just one person! You definitely have to go! The Beef Goulash is also delicious! 📌 Quick Tips: ✅ Highly recommend staying overnight! Rothenburg is even more magical at night, with fewer crowds and stunning views! There’s also an immersive 1-hour "Night Watchman" tour where they share the town's history—the experience is top-notch. Meet up at the Town Hall entrance on the hour in the evening; the tour ends right where it starts and costs €9. ✅ The town is pretty small and can easily be explored on foot in a single day, so take your time and soak in the medieval vibes~ ✅ Skip the Christmas Museum. The student ticket is €4, but half of it is just a gift shop and there really isn't much to see.

Hi, guys! In this post, I want to share another unforgettable experience of mine watching the 2014 World Cup Final between Germany and Argentina with my friends at one of their houses, which, believe it or not, nearly ended our friendship! So, I'll start by mentioning this phrase: "Football does strange things to people". And, through this post, I want to share wth you my story about one of the strangest things I have witnessed and experienced while watching a World Cup match. During the 2014 World Cup Final Match, five of us were at a friend's house for the Germany vs Argentina final. Four supporting Germany, one holding the fort for Argentina alone. The banter throughout was exactly what you'd expect, good-natured and relentless, the natural texture of watching a big match with people you're comfortable with. The match itself was tense and goalless deep into extra time, the kind of final that keeps everyone on edge until the very last moment. Then, in the 113th minute, Mario Götze controlled a cross on his chest and volleyed it into the net. The room erupted on one side and fell completely silent on the other. Eventually, Germany won 1-0. Four of us, as their fans, celebrated. However, our Argentinian-supporting friend sat quietly for a moment, then looked at us all and suddenly just told us to leave his house. At first, we assumed he was joking. However, it became clear that he was not. Incredibly, what followed that night was two weeks of complete silence. No replies in the group chat from that Argentinian-supporting friend, no acknowledgment at school, nothing. For someone who was normally one of the most sociable people any of us knew, the transformation was genuinely unsettling. We spent a portion of those two weeks quietly wondering whether a football result had somehow ended a friendship. It hadn't. After two weeks, things returned to normal as suddenly as they had stopped. He (our Argentinian-supporting friend) eventually offered an explanation that was both completely understandable and absolutely ridiculous: he hadn't been angry at us exactly, just at Germany, and by extension at anyone who had been supporting Germany, and he'd needed time for that irrational feeling to pass. It is, objectively, one of the most unhinged responses to a football result I have ever encountered. We have laughed about it many times since. More importantly, we are all still close to this day, which is the only ending a story like this deserves. That's my unforgettable experience regarding the 2014 World Cup final. How about you, guys?
