Amangiri

Really cool resort in the middle of nowhere. The staff uniforms are all Patagonia and it made me feel like I should go hiking or do something adventurous, but it’s a dessert and hot as hell even in September. I can’t imagine being there in the middle of summer. There’s not much to do there but the spas are very unique and the pool too. There’s a cave you have to climb up for events or dinners and the premium rooms are actually tents but they’re more like houses with a canvas cover. Still pretty cool and worth visiting for 2-3 days. Not sure if I can recommend paying the outrages rates for the experience though.overall ok
Will Rogers State Beach
#losangeles
This place has everything. Trail checked. Hike checked. Bike route checked. Beach checked. Game center checked. Amusement park with a wheel checked. It's just 2 miles from the very popular Santa Monica pier yet you get the best from both sides minus the crowdedness. And the parking is cheaper as well. Nice place for family with kids, visiting people from out of state, and locals.
El Segundo Beach
#losangeles
A quiet beach away from rush and crowd opposite to electrical or power plant. Kind of vintage look below hill some industry, road and long beach strip. El Segundo beach is clean and not crowded. Beach area is not commercialized and hence you enjoy more with natural beauty. Good place to spent time with family and kids. To play volleyball and other beach side games with kids and friends. Sufficient Parking space which are paid.
Mothers Beach
#losangeles
This a family friendly beach. Next to the Farmers market and the Cheescake Factory. There is a playground and picnic area. A wide variety of restaurants to choose from.
Quiet place to hang out on the sand. Convenient restrooms and picnic tables. Beautiful views, nice park. They have food trucks in the evening.
great place to relax. or barbecue. many restaurants too. Jamaica Bay is here too. free parking. kayak rental. stand up paddle board rental. and more. This is a fantastic place to take the children for some beach front fun.
Royal Palms Beach Park
#losangeles
Beautiful secluded area on the right side of White Point Beach. We love walking on the rocks when it’s low tide. We see lots and lots of small snails and some sea urchins in the tide pools. It’s a nice place to have a picnic without getting wet and with an awesome view. They have benches and palm trees, waves crashing on the rocks, tide pools, view of Catalina Island, beautiful sunsets, and so much more.
Santa Monica State Beach
#losangeles
My happy place ♥️ Day or night, there's always something going on. A good place to enjoy a picnic, a walk on the sand, taking a bike ride, flying a Kite, or maybe a little romance 😉 You might run into a bike club showing off their tricked out bikes or you could get a haircut from the mobile barber. Grab some food and a souvenir from one of the local vendor carts. Go to a yoga or weight class, maybe learn to walk the slack lines, listen to a dj spinning from the window of a nearby hotel, and then sit in the sand and listen to the waves. This is my favorite go-to beach ⛱️
Hollywood Wax Museum
#losangelesVery detailed wax figures that you can visit up close and personal. Some of the models have props you can use to take pictures of yourself to make it more exciting. There is an option to buy a multi-pass where you can visit both Ripley’s and the wax museum (I’d suggest getting both tickets). There is also a gift shop where you can pick up souvenirs. We spent a few hours visiting both museums and have gone a few times since they do introduce new models as the years go on.
White Point Beach
#losangeles
This was a beautiful morning walk location. The sun was coming up from the ridge behind me as I walked along the coastline and it was refreshing to stand up on the rocks and stretch up to where the sky meets the sea. The many trails weaving through the hills gave for much recreation and the restroom facilities were clean and well kept!...............
Cabrillo Beach
#losangeles
Clean Beach has parking in and out on the street if you are lucky to find it. One dollar an hr for parking. Restrooms were clean, and the other side of Cabrillo Beach is a great place to swim or learn because there are no tide or hard waves. There's also a fishing pier!
Cool beach with swings and playground. Also free wifi. There weren’t too many people , then again I went on a week day. They have showers that close at 6 ( right side of parking ) as well as a shower that is open pretty much until the beach closes.
Venice Beach
#losangeles
Venice Beach's iconic boardwalk pulsates with a lively mix of street performers, eclectic shops, and vibrant murals, creating a sensory-rich experience. The historic Muscle Beach, a hub for bodybuilders and fitness enthusiasts, and the picturesque Venice Canals add to the unique charm of this beachside destination. Unfortunately this beach facing challenges such as homelessness, crime, and issues related to street vending, impacting the overall safety and cleanliness of certain areas.
Verto’s Kitchen
- Today my lovely friend and I went to this beautiful matcha and donut shop located in The Village (an outdoor mall)
- The service was so friendly and they have so many delicious pastry options and drinks!
- Mar and I both got a strawberry matcha with oat milk, mine is sweetened with honey and hers is sweetened with agave. It is super tasty! It tastes more like a strawberry smoothie which is very unique. Its more on the thick side because of the strawberry puree
- I also got a blueberry donut and Mar got a strawberry donut! Both super tasty, soft, sweet, and decorated beautifully
- Highly recommend yall come out to this gorgeous little place :-)💐

Beautiful and Luxurious Rodeo Drive, LA 🇺🇸
#losangeles
📍Rodeo Drive
Visited one of the most beautiful and luxurious street in Los Angeles during our recent trip there! It is located at the Beverly Hills, where most of the biggest stars reside. We spent around an hour walking around Rodeo Drive and it was an amazing experience. The entire street and area is filled with designers store from Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Dolce & Gabana, you name it. The buildings are all unique, with some minimal yet grand architectures, they look like they are straight from lego sets! How pretty and gorgeous! We took a lot of photos here, love the palm trees along the streets as well!
Delicious Japanese Food in Hollywood, LA 🇺🇸
#losangeles
📍Kino Sushi & Ramen
6721 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028, United States
Had some Japanese food while travelling to Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles! The restaurant is located strategically at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, cozy and spacious, it’s a little far away from the hustle bustle Hollywood Walk of Fame. The food that we ordered were all deliciously good! Tonkotsu ramen was a 10/10, broth was thick and flavourful, ramen was cooked to perfection and the portion was just nice! Salmon bento box was beautifully curated and love the arrangement as well! One of my favourite dish would be grilled pork with some salt, which was really good! The staff was polite and friendly, with great service! Would recommend for those visiting Hollywood Boulevard, such a great find in LA!
Free Admission to Contemporary Art Museum, LA
#losangeles
📍The Broad
221 S Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, CA, United States
Visited this beautiful contemporary art museum while strolling around in downtown LA. We were immediately drawn to the unique building while walking around, such a cool and stunning building! We were surprised as the admission to the museum was free, which is so rare in LA, we just had to register online and the line was pretty quick during our visit! The modern arts displayed are all very pretty and amazing! The entire museum is not too huge and overwhelming, we spent around an hour browsing and taking photos! Overall, would recommend this to friends visiting Los Angeles! And do remember to make reservations online ahead before visiting!
Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire
#losangeles
I’ve stayed twice now, the grounds are great and you really feel like you have escaped the city when you go for a walk, the facilities are superb and for kids, the staff are superb, they had a conference room converted into a kids play area which was great and on top of that the kids pool is unreal.
It’s paradise.Only downside is with a dog you’re limited on a dining a little, that said, it’s not stopped us returning and we’ll be back again, overall awesome
La Brea Tar Pits and Museum
#losangeles This museum is educational. My favorite part was the outside area which is free. I enjoyed seeing real tar pits. The museum inside, which is paid entry, was nice but I did feel like the price for our entire family was a lot for the small size of the museum. I do understand though that they are funding research which is important. We did pay and go inside and saw some interesting and educational exhibits. Overall this was a great stop for our family. There are bathrooms in the museum. There is a movie that costs extra. Just don't miss out on all the interesting things to see around the grounds.
The Golden Triangle
#losangeles You can't go to Los Angeles and not stop by here. I recommend this place to everyone who comes and visits from around the world and has famous stores, they should definitely see it.Nice little spot to walk around, take some pictures and (window) shop. The alley-like walk through the Golden Triangle is nice and visually attractive.
I recommend this place for shopping.
Heal the Bay Aquarium
#losangeles
The Heal the Bay aquarium is an amazing little gem located in Santa Monica that plays a vital role in educating both kids and adults on the importance of preserving marine life and our eco-systems. Despite its small size, this aquarium packs a punch with its informative displays and hands-on exhibits that are both engaging and interactive.
Overall, I found the Heal the Bay aquarium to be extremely informative and engaging atop of being an original place to organize a birthday party. It's clear that the staff and volunteers are passionate about marine life and conservation, and their enthusiasm is contagious. I highly recommend a visit to this cozy, little aquarium for anyone interested in learning more about marine life and our role in preserving it.
Cabrillo Marine Aquarium
#losangeles
The Cabrillo Marine Aquarium is a great interactive “classroom” where people of all ages can learn about marine life and conservation. While the facility is small, it is very easy to finish and read all of the information in about two hours. First, the aquariums themselves are very well maintained and make it easy for visitors to see which animals are inside. The information boards or signs are also very easy to read and present the information in a non- over the top way, but in a way where everyday people can understand the concepts. Additionally, I really appreciated how open the facility was about exposing the inner workings of the tanks or laboratories and how they manage the breeding of jellies in the nursery. The employees who work at the facility are very nice and seem to love where they work.
Old Los Angeles Zoo
#losangeles Nice place with lots of green areas and interesting infrastructure. Perfect to explore with family and friends. The hikes around are not too hard but make sure to bring your phone if you’re going off the big paths so that you don’t get lost. There are many animals like rabbits, snakes and birds so be careful and walk with a stick if you’re going off the paths. Super busy on Sundays. It was pretty fun. The abandoned cages are super fun to explore.
Santa Monica Pier
#losangeles Santa Monica Pier is definitely a destination to visit. I have been twice and the second time was better, we decided to get a beach cruiser bike and ride from Venice Beach all the way along to Santa Monica Pier. This was a perfect day and such a beautiful ride, the path is wide and plenty of room for everyone, and just a great way to see more than expected. Once arriving at the pier the atmosphere was busy and lots going on, lots to see. We decided to try a pound cake and sit on a bench seat to soak it all in. Our friends decided to go on the rides and had a great time. There was some entertaining street people doing their best to make a living, a little pushy but cool to watch. There are a few quiet places to sit and enjoy a beer and watch all the interesting people walk by. It was a warm day for winter a lot like home in Queensland Australia, but for me personally coming from Australia and living on the Gold Coast, I have seen so many nicer, cleaner beaches and this is not a destination that I would personally set high on my bucket list but still worth a visit.
GRAMMY Museum L.A. Live
#losangeles
This place is amazing. We just plan to visit it as a buffer place while waiting for other more famous attractions, but this museum exceeds our expectations and beyond.
The most interesting thing to me is that they have an experience room where you can listen to songs with sound technology from the 19th to the most modern one today.
Have fun.........
Grand Central Market
#losangeles
A foodie gem! I stumbled upon this spot on a walk and was surprised I hadn't put it on my itinerary while planning this trip out to LA. There are dozens of food shops that have excellent options for whatever you're looking for. Pizza, donuts, tacos, bento boxes, candy, Filipino, Korean, Chinese. It's all here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hollywood Wax Museum
#losangeles
Very detailed wax figures that you can visit up close and personal.
Los Angeles County Museum of Art
#losangeles
A variety of interesting exhibitions featuring modern and contemporary art. Saw many modern masterpieces by well-known artists. It was interesting to see the pieces that are tied to Los Angeles history as well. I found the Textiles and Woven Art exhibition on the second floor very well-curated - had a lot of fun seeing it!
Not too busy and easy to navigate. Unfortunately only got to see one of the buildings because of the time I had but would love to visit again for a more in depth experience!.
The Getty Villa
#losangeles
The Villa is an Art museum focusing on ancient Greek and Roman history and architecture. The design of the villa was modeled after Greek and Roman design. The outdoor areas are gorgeous!! The design is amazing, down to the small details. The museum portions were very informative and cool. There is a focus on statues from both ancient civilizations. The museum also includes a cafe and a theater for special shows.
Angels Flight Railway
#losangeles
It's definitely a tourst spot. The shortest railway in the world was built 118 years ago. It was a fun landmark to visit. may lift you up and down for a minimal fee.use your tap card to receive half off. Walking the nearby steps up and down rather than using the railing can give you an excellent experience. leads to a lovely outdoor plaza with a stage and lots of eateries and businesses close by.
Heritage Square Museum
#losangeles
Very nice attraction in LA where many historic houses are preserved: they were brought here and saved from destruction, then restored and opened to the public.
In some of them it's possible to go inside and visit the interiors.
I recommend going, very interesting visit. Parking is available in front of the gate. There is a 10$ admission fee.....
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
#losangeles
I visited the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood last weekend and it was a magical experience. The park is divided into two areas: Hogsmeade and Hogwarts Castle. Hogsmeade is a charming village with shops, restaurants, and attractions inspired by the Harry Potter books and movies. You can buy a wand at Ollivanders, sip a butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks, or ride a hippogriff at the Flight of the Hippogriff. Hogwarts Castle is the centerpiece of the park, where you can explore the iconic locations such as the Great Hall, Dumbledore's office, and the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom. The highlight of the castle is the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride, which takes you on a thrilling adventure with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. The ride uses state-of-the-art technology to create a realistic and immersive experience. You can also watch a spectacular show of lights and music at the castle every night.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood is a must-visit for any fan of the Harry Potter franchise. It is a place where you can relive your favorite moments, discover new secrets, and create unforgettable memories. It is a place where magic comes to life.
Autry Museum of the American West
#losangeles
A fantastic museum and well worth visiting. I came for their Dress Codes exhibition but ended up spending half the day there also exploring the other galleries which I hadn’t planned. Not only did the artwork draw me in but the exhibition design and interpretive text is eye-catching and well-designed. I look forward to coming back in the future and will def be recommending this to other museum goers when they’re in the area.
