A Time Machine to the Past 🇵🇭😲

What an amazing place to visit and I felt like I was transported to the Spanish Colonial period in the Philippines. When we were there there were a lot of ancestral house that were being restored or getting fixed so we weren't able to see the interior of the house. We were pressing for time as well. How I wished we had an entire day to walk and stroll around the village coz I really felt like I was living in the past while looking at the surrounding. I really hope this place gets the attention or tourists that it derseve. A lot of people only kno about Vigan and to be honest I was one of those until we were taken here by our family.

🇬🇧Sacred Urban Splendor⛪️🛐
#timetotravel
⛪️Majestically situated in the heart of Birmingham, St. Paul's Church is an architectural wonder that enchants and inspires anyone who sets foot within its grounds. Its imposing presence on St. Paul's Square makes it a timeless gem in the urban fabric.
I had the privilege of visiting this historic church on a bright autumn morning, and the experience was truly extraordinary. The limestone facade stood with an aura of grandeur, and the ornate entrance beckoned to discover a world of beauty and spirituality.
Once inside, the magnificence of St. Paul's Church emerged in all its glory. The colored stained glass filtered the sunlight, creating a mosaic of colors on the marble flooring. Intricate decorations and frescoes depicting sacred stories stood out against the walls, telling a millennia-old tale of faith and devotion.
The tranquility inside the church was palpable, and I felt enveloped by a sense of peace and reflection. The intricately carved wooden pews invited one to sit and contemplate, and so I did. I closed my eyes and allowed the distant sounds of the organ to fill my soul as I lost myself in my thoughts.
The history of St. Paul's Church is equally fascinating. Learning that this church had withstood fires and wars, preserving its beauty and spiritual significance, added profound meaning to my visit. It was a place that had witnessed generations of believers and visitors, a place that had weathered the storms of time.
In conclusion, my visit to St. Paul's Church was an experience I will never forget. This place is not only an extraordinary example of sacred architecture but also a haven for those seeking tranquility and reflection. It is a monument to beauty and spirituality that can be appreciated by people of all faiths and anyone in search of inspiration. If you find yourself in Birmingham, I highly recommend visiting this remarkable church.#TravelInspiration #birmingham #culturewalk #travel

I had the opportunity to visit La Recova Market during my trip to Tenerife, and I must say it was a fascinating experience. This market offers a wide variety of local products, from crafts to culinary specialties.
Atmosphere: ☀️The atmosphere is truly authentic, with a blend of colors, sounds, and aromas that capture the spirit of the island. It wasn’t too crowded when I went, which made the visit more enjoyable.
Available Products: 🍋🍇🦀I found many interesting options, including local crafts like textiles and art objects, as well as a wide selection of fresh food and local specialties like cheese and honey.
Prices: 🫰💵Prices were in line with expectations for a market of this kind. I found that many of the craft products were very affordable, while the culinary specialties were a bit more expensive but worth it.
Accessibility: ♿️🦮 La Recova is easily accessible, located in the heart of Santa Cruz. I easily found parking nearby.
Tips: 🎩Make sure to try some of the local culinary specialties, such as fresh cheese and honey. Also, bring cash as some vendors may not accept credit cards.

Chew Jetty Journey
Initially, I wanted to make a post about Chew Jetty itself. But I was a bit disappointed by how lacking it was. Instead, I’ll talk about the journey from Armenian Street to Chew Jetty, as I did manage to find really interesting art and stores along the way.
The walk from Armenian Street to Chew Jetty is about 10 minutes. It’s not directly next to each other, but really close. Along the way you’ll see various street art and some traditional old school stores that sell bread and biscuits. The store in the first picture even sold herbal hard boiled eggs! Although it’s just a 10 minute walk, we spent about 30 minutes along the journey just shopping around and stopping to take pictures. Overall a really great experience as it was interesting to see and observe these things around us.
The jetty was interesting but not as impressive as I expected it to be. It’s rather small, and it isn’t really a jetty per se. More like a village standing on poles. The pathways were just planks nailed together and houses connected to these pathways only had a 20cm width worth of plank to balance across to get home. Besides that, there’s nothing else. The water has dried up and you can’t go down much further anyway.

Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen Temple
Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen is one of my favourite temples in Bangkok. The entire compound is stunning, with a rich cultural heritage, remarkable architecture and tranquil atmosphere.
One of the highlights is the breathtaking pagoda which is the most stunning spot that I have experienced in Thailand. The ceiling and the pagoda will mesmerise you. Both are incredibly beautiful!
Also, the big Buddha at Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen is incredible, it is one of the largest that I have seen so far.
If you are exploring Bangkok, Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen is a must-visit, it won’t disappoint you! Definitely it will give you a great escape from the bustling city.

A Treasure of History and Culture
The Itsukushima Otori Gate is a sight to behold. It’s truly one of the most amazing pieces of history that you’ll ever come across. This gate is HUGE. It is truly massive. And it’s one of those things that you wouldn’t be able to understand until you actually visit it.
I really enjoyed just being around it and talking to people about the history and cultural significance of it. This particular gate survived the atomic bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima in 1945. On top of that significant history pointer, this gate is also a key cultural piece that acts as a gate between the human and spirit world. This gate was built along with the shrine near the shore to worship the gods of the sea and storm. It’s truly a sight to behold.

Centuries-old heritage and beer, education and youth sum Leuven up nicely.
Its youthfulness can be seen in countless terraces crowded with students. Leuven is home to one of Europe’s oldest universities. This gives the city a special prestige. There are beacons of knowledge, such as the impressive university library. Beer and entertainment can be found here as well. That’s only to be expected of a university city. Hayward Gallery: Crazy beautiful modern art 🚀
Supercharge your IG account with endless show stopping exhibitions from the Hayward Gallery on London’s Southbank. We saw an exhibition called Strange Clay - but even if you don’t catch an exhibition, head to the Southbank centre and you’ll see:
🏗 Some of London’s most famous Brutalist architecture. Think ugly-pretty huge swathes of concrete.
🛹 Under the gallery is one of London’s coolest skate parks. Watch on as people do tricks in the concrete overhand of the gallery.
🛟 River views; some of the best views of London can be seen from the Southbank Centre.
🌮 Wahacca! Just by the gallery is a big yellow shipping container with some really great Mexican street food. Head to the second floor and sit by the window for unbeatable London views!
🚀 Getting There - Head to Waterloo or Black-fryers Station
🖼 Attractions - in the Southbank Centre alongside the Hayward Gallery, is the National Theatre. It’s AMAZING. They have really contemporary file-breaking theatre. See if there’s a show on!
🏨 Hotels - ##seacontainers is just by the Oxo tower for a very cool hotel nearby.
🥂 Food & Restaurants - Wahacca is downstairs from the Hayward (they have a quick take-away area and a full sit down restaurant) but there is plenty to eat nearby; Nandoes, Wagamamas, and you’re only a short walk from Borough Market, one of London’s best street food and produce markets.

💫WEIRDLY WONDERFUL HAW PAR VILLA💫
Address - Haw Par Villa is located at 262 Pasir Panjang Road, Singapore 118628
Getting There - I recommend taking the MRT as it’s the most straightforward way to get there. Alight at Haw Par Villa MRT (Circle Line, yellow) and proceed to Exit A ( CC25 ).
Highlights - THE 10 COURTS OF HELL & CHINESE 🇨🇳FABLES AND STORIES.
Rating - 7.5/10
This Chinese culture theme park was slated to be one of Singapore’s 🇸🇬 major tourist attractions back in the day, though these days it is more of a nostalgic curiosity and is somewhat shabby and mostly forgotten. Haw Par Villa is still home to some of the weirdest sculptures I’ve seen though, and worth a visit if you like quirky attractions without a crowd (and also… free!).😀
Haw Par Villa isn’t very big – you can easily explore it in 1-2 hours.
THE 10 COURTS OF HELL.
The most famous section of Haw Par Villa that any one who has ever visited it back in the day is the 10 Courts of Hell, an idea rooted in the Buddhist belief that you reap what you sow. Basically the belief is that all your sins in life are punishable in death, and the worst your sin, the more epically gory your torture will be.
To end this, I took about 2 hours to circle the park without a tour, it’s a little hilly so be prepared to walk a bit. Also, no air-conditioning so consider a paper fan or a hat 👒 to stay cool – there are benches here and there to sit down.

Kuan Yim Shrine in Bangkok
#meetbangkok
Chinatown is the most popular of Bangkok's alive areas that never sleep. During the day, the streets and alleyways are filled with a vibrant mix of colours, smells and flavors from roadside restaurants and all-day markets.
During the day, you can escape from the crowded road and discover hidden temples, kind locals and daily life in its purest form.
While we were escaping from the crowd of this neighborhood, we came across the Kuan Yim Shrine and street pictures that represent chinese culture.

Deepavali @LittleIndia Singapore
#sginsider
Once a year, the little India district turns into a very happening place, with bazaars for food and all necessity for the celebration of Deepavali.
Serangoon Road and Race Course Road are the center stage for the light-up. It is so beautiful in the nighttime, giving you a happy feeling and positive thinking for welcoming the new year. This is the event that you must visit and see. The light-up is from 16 September to 13 November 2022.
The biggest bazaar is located in front of Tekka Mall at the beginning of Serangoon road, and another one is located opposite Mustafa Center, next to the mosque, and in front of Farrer Park Hotel and medical center.
