Borough Market - London, UK
One of my favourite, must visit spot when I’m in London, it’s Borough Market! This market has been here since 1850s and it’s filled with up to 100 stores selling different delicious food and things for you to buy!
Looking for something to eat? Don’t miss out stores that sell cheese, beef, fresh seafood, ice cream and many more! If you’re fan of Uncle Roger, you will find ‘Mei Mei’ store in Borough Market too!
There are also non-food stores like barber shops, hardware stores and garden store too!
Borough Market is open daily and can be reached by alighting at London Bridge tube station.

Tower Bridge - London, UK
The most recognisable bridge in the world, and also the most “name-mistaken” bridge. Easily mistaken as the London Bridge, but actually it’s called Tower Bridge.
Tower Bridge was built between 1886 and 1894, it crosses the River Thames and is situated near to Tower of London.
You may travel across this bridge frequently when you’re in London, but don’t miss the Tower Bridge Exhibition located at the top of the bridge! Though it’s a paid exhibition, but I feel it’s worth a go for once. The entry is from the west side of the bridge.
You can reach Tower Bridge from Tower Hill or London Bridge tube stations.

Windsor Castle - London, UK
The largest and oldest occupied castle in the world, and it’s also the location where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got married at. Windsor Castle was built in the 11th century by William the Conqueror and has been in used ever since.
It sits on 5 hectares of land, and there are tons of things to see within the compound. You can visit the State Rooms, St George’s Chapel, Queen Mary’s Doll House and it’s definitely a must to witness the Changing of Guards (around 11am).
Want to visit Windsor Castle? It’s not that hard to visit, you can easily do a Day-Trip to the castle via train.

Mamma-Mia! Musical - London, UK
Heading to London soon, and not sure what you can do when the sun comes down? I would highly recommend checking out London West End’s musicals.
I’ve watched Mamma Mia! and I would say… it’s fantastic, it’s grand, it’s everything you can expect from a musical.
The seats are placed whereby no matter where you’re seated, you will be able to see the stage.
The musical runs for 2 hours 35 minutes with interval. Prices starts from £17.50 and you would need to book in advance!
The musical is held in the Novello Theatre, a walking distance from Temple and Covent Garden Tube Stations.

Shop Like the Locals in London
We have a couple of Marks & Spencer stores in Sjngapore and we clearly know Marks & Spencer is huge British retailer from London, with many stores all over the world. That is why when we were in London, we definitely had to pay Marks and Spencer a visit and see how different it was.
Marks and Spencer in London is a store and more and it is a favourite shopping place for the locals. It was not difficult to understand why the londoners love this brand so much. Inside Marks and Spencer, fabulous clothes were sold, for both females, males and kids. You can shop for food, snacks, groceries like cheese and pasta, etc, just like a typical supermarket. Prices were reasonable when calculated in pounds as well. Take your time to shop there and you will walk out with bags full of Marks and Spencer items.

Dinner in a pub in London.
This is one of our favourite pubs in East London. The place is huge with a downstairs and upstairs area and a large beer garden.
Went there last night for some food and also played some board games.
This is part of the chain Wetherspoon where you can find cheap meals and many of their puns have a great interior.

#meetlondon #london #visitlondon #restaurant #seafood
Loch Fyne is a nice restaurant where you can enjoy great seafood and fresh oysters. We visited some time ago the restaurant in Covent Garden. Apparently this one had closed now but there are other ones to choose from.
Bright and airy Loch Fyne is a harbour for lovers of pure and simple seafood. This Covent Garden restaurant keeps its menu as uncluttered as its dining area, with subtle fish recipes that stick to straightforward flavours. Dishes include the famed seasonal oysters from the fertile Argyll waters that give the restaurant its name.

When in London, make sure to jump on a boat and enjoy a little trip on the river - it's a must do activity.
The cheapest option is to use thr Thames Clipper or as it's called these days the Uber boat. You can pay contactless or using your Oyster card.

Checkinaway (@checkinawayblog) Cutty Sark Greenwich, London
#meetlondon #london #visitlondon
Cutty Sark is a British clipper ship. She was one of the last tea clippers to be built and one of the fastest which halted as steamships took over their routes.
Now you can see the ship in Greenwich, a beautiful area in London. Wander around Greenwich and also visit the park where the Greenwich Observatory is built.
This area is one of our favourite parts of London.

Checkinaway (@checkinawayblog) Christmas Decor In Oxford Street & Selfridges
Christmas is my favourite festivity because that is when we will gather as families and have endless parties and we will have endless presents to give and receive. Besides the season of giving, Christmas also means the streets of London would be beautifully lighted up. Just look at Oxford Street, the main shopping street of London. Year after year, the Christmas lights and decorations never fail to amaze everyone. The lights are dazzling and glittery and just adds cheer in everyone's heart. Then, there is also Selfridges, the posh upscale popular shopping mall in Lodon. Their Christmas decorations are equally good and it adds the Christmas spirit into whole mall. Just wow!

Delicious Caribbean-inspired food, 2-4-1 cocktails and the best Bottomless Brunch there is, located in the centre of Croydon.

Free Science Museum In London
I greatly appreciate the fact that most Museums to enter in London is free, including the Science museum. This place is a must go, especially if you have kids. It is educational and have tons of display involving Science. It is also one of my favourite museums amongst the rest. You get to learn about aerodynamics planes, jet engines and the different motorists on display. It is an interesting place for both adults and kids, with plenty of toilets and cafes if you need to eat or drink. Pre book your tickets online so that you don't have to queue at the museum.

Balans Cafe in London
Balans has a few outlets in London but the one I went to was in Kensington. It was like a little quaint Cafe serving all day brunch and other mains and drinks. When in London, one dish that is like a staple there would be fish and Chips. I ordered the fish and chips from Balans and it was so good! The fish was fresh and crispy and not too oily with the fries. Other items that I ordered were eggs Benedict, which was equally awesome, and a cup of chocolatey mocha. Service rendered to us was excellent and we loved the cosy interior of the cafe. Food overall is perfect and we loved the reasonable pricing.

London's Best Cookies
In Singapore, when you think of cookies, you will probably think of famous Amos. In London, when you think of cookies, you will definitely think of Ben's cookies. Singapore used to have Ben's cookies but unfortunately, the last outlet at wisma atria closed last year.
There are many outlets of ben's cookies in London. Their cookies are as big as your palm, topped with lots of ingredients such as your nuts or chocolate buttons and it has a nice soft chewy texture. Currently, the shop is having a promotion and you could get 4 cookies for 5.85 pounds. A very good deal indeed!

Natural History Museum In London
If you are like my child who loves dinosaurs, the Natural History Museum in London has got to be your favourite hang out place. This museum is enormous with tons of displays and exhibits and it is impossible to finish touring the entire place within a few hours. You will probably need a day or two.
Tickets to the Natural History Museum is free and the dinosaur exhibit on the ground floor is the place to go. You will spot fossils and the famous t Rex on display. You will also get to see other wildlife exhibits and these are extremely educational for kids. If you like bling bling items, then the precious stones and gems collections will shout out to you.
