BANTAYAN ISLAND the pristine sand. 🤩
Visiting BANTAYAN ISLAND with its pristine sandy beaches can be a rejuvenating experience. Walking barefoot on soft, powdery sand and feeling the warmth of the sun on your skin. You can take leisurely strolls along the coastline or simply relax under a shady palm tree. It's an opportunity to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the seaside. Not just that! They have mangrooves! Hey! This is in the Philippines! You can visit this in the Philippines' Queen City of the South "CEBU!"
BANTAYAN ISLAND is in the northernmost island of CEBU Province. How to get there?
1. If you are living outside Cebu, you have to take a flight to MACTAN CEBU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT.
2. Make your way to Cebu North Terminal Bus Station. You can take taxis just outside the airport.
3. Take the bus from Cebu North Terminal Bus Station to Hagnaya Port/ or RORO BUS up to Bantayan Island town ( Santa Fe)
- if you take the RORO bus to Bantayan Island, it boards the ferry at Hagnaya Port and goes along the way to Bantayan Island town (Santa Fe) with all your things onboard. (a little expensive option)
- if you take the other bus, it will drop you to Hagnaya Port and you have your own to board and you'll buy your own ticket and hop in to the ferry. This is a cheaper option.
4. When you arrive in Santa Fe port, you go first to Tourism office and pay some Island fee or environmental fee.
(Remember to take your things with you if you take the RORO bus - it will go straight to the town.
5. Take a trike from Port to your accommodation.
The Island has a lot to offer!Enjoy! 🥰😁#bantayanisland #bantayancebu #philippines #beach #summer

Onuk Island ✨
Onuk Island is located in Balabac, Palawan. It is definitely one of the most beautiful islands I have seen in the Philippines.
The marine life was incredible, I saw multiple turtles, puffer fishes and coral reefs. But I was definitely amazed by the giant clams. It was a fantastic spot for snorkelling.
If you are planning to visit Onuk island, you first need to find a tour because it is a private property so it’s impossible to go by yourself. I was camping nearby so the tour company took all of us to the island.
Highly recommend it!

Balabac Island Life Experience
I had the opportunity to experience this incredible adventure. I went camping in Punta Sebaring, one of the undeveloped and remotes areas in Palawan island.
There was no wifi, hot water, mobile signal, hotels or electricity. There was only a generator running at night for two hours.
It was a wonderful experience. It gave me the opportunity to disconnect from the virtual world and enjoy the island life.
I absolutely recommend this adventure. The locals were so friendly and nice, their food was delicious and the environment was great.

MANILA “The Pearl of the Orient”
This bustling historic city is full of things to see and do — including museums, parks, theaters, shopping malls and a plethora of restaurants to choose from. Explore and be amazed with the famous “Intramuros” means “within the walls” also known as the old manila. It plays a significant role in the heart of every Filipino as it serves as a reminder of the Spanish Era. Apart from learning about Philippine history, the Intramuros tourist spot is also one of the places you will want to take advantage of!#philippines #Manila

Incredible Cebu Island 🏝️- Philippines 🇵🇭
Cebu is a fantastic island with many small villages to explore. It is one of Philippines’s bigges island. It is known worldwide for the Whaleshark watching and the Kawasan falls.
You must walk in cebu city historic centre to enjoy the amazing architecture which combines modern and impressive buldings with traditional Spanish architecture. Walking on the streets is fun, there are many landmarks such as museums, parks and temples.
I came to Cebu for a 10 days trip but I would recommend at least three weeks to travel all the way from the north to the south of the island. A few of the top landmarks to visit in this city are: Moalboal, Oslob, Cebu city, Mactan Island, Bohol Island, among others.

Itadakimasu! At Mendokoro Ramenba at BGC
#CNY2024
Returned home in the Philippines for the Lunar New Year/Chinese New Year, and the first agenda was a staycation at Bonifacio Global City (BGC)
It’s been a lot of years since i visited the area, and a lot of buildings and establishment has been developed, and ofcourse a lot of restaurants scattered in the area.
One of the famous shop here is Mendokoro Ramenba, which serves, ofcourse, Ramen!
The interior design is very chic, with wooden laddles as the design element~ the seats are in bar counter style which encircle the whole kitchen so you can see the chef and his cooks work. The ambience is nice but the food was much nicer, we did enjoy our meal and the 3y/o we have with us nearly demolished a ramen bowl by himself and the plate of gyoza (which was the true hero!)

First and foremost, this museum is generally generated for kids to enjoy (we even came across a kids on a school field trip inside) the displays are mostly interactive for kids to play at. They have different section for different topics, the displays tend to more inclined to general/earth science topic which kids in elementary/primary level mostly knows about.
It’s a good visit for families with kids!

Temple of Leah
The Temple of Leah in Cebu is a special place made with a lot of love. A guy named Teodorico Adarna built it for his wife, Leah, to show how much he cared about her. It looks like an ancient Greek or Roman building with big pillars and fancy details.
The temple sits on a hill, and when you're there, you can see a beautiful view of Cebu City. Even though it's not completely finished, the Temple of Leah is a wonderful spot that tells a sweet story of love, making it a unique and interesting place to visit in Cebu.

Mactan Island Beach 🏝️
Strolling on the beach is the perfect plan to spend a relaxed time in the morning or afternoon in Mactan island.
The beach is located in a well preserved area and the entire place is kept clean and tidy.
Going to the beach and walking along the sea is definitely a good way to spend a relaxing time. You can soak your feet in the warm water, enjoy the sound of the waves and the refreshing smell of the sea. The sand is very soft so it is a pleasure to walk barefoot the entire place.
There are several resorts on that coast so there are plenty of places to stop by a drink or a snack. This island is very close to Cebu city so it can be reached by taxi.

#2024wish
The best place I travelled to last year was #Boracay Philippines. It boasts one of the finest and whitest sand with many beachside hotels, bars and restaurants. With the most accommodating people and tourist friendly spots, it’s one of the safest and most accessible places to go on a trip in the Philippines!
This year, I want to explore several places, Hanoi, Phnom Penh and Chiang Mai. All of these places are known for holding important cultural relics and for bringing tranquility after a tumultuous 2023.
My first solo trip happened just a month a go and I’m hoping to follow it up as soon as I can, as a student, a girl and as a flâneur :)
Let’s all write 2024 in hues of aspiration and hope. Happy new year and I hope my wish comes true 🙏🏻🎀

Favourite Trip of 2023 - Venice
Venice has got to be one of my favourite trips of 2023. It was my first time in Venice and I fell in love with this charming, rustic and romantic water town. The architecture was unique, love the many bridges running through the water town and the majestic grand canal. It was so soothing and peaceful for me to be cruising through Venice in the water buses (Vaporettos) though the waters was always busy and bustling. November is a good time to visit Venice with lesser crowds. Love the amazing gelatos and fresh seafood I had in Venice.
2023 Venice was great and I hope to explore new amazing destinations in 2024 with Trip.com, my preferred travel partner (app) that I always go to when planning my next place of travel!

Staying in Century Park Hotel Metro Manila during the Christmas season is incredible. Beautiful Christmas decorations are everywhere, and they make your holiday a memorable one. Daanbantayan retreat
We wanted our first trip to Cebu and the Philippines to be special and so we booked this resort right at the start of the summer holidays. We stayed in the garden room which overlooked the lush green of the surroundings. The main hotel area has a water feature and is open to the elements and nature. Every morning we had beautiful birdsong. The resort was quiet which made it feel like our own little paradise on the beach. The staff couldn’t be more attentive and obliging. Kusina restaurant did great room service and the karaoke and other performances were entertaining. Kandaya resort was just the getaway we needed! #summerincebu #philippines #Getaway #Lovethephilippines

Lapu-Lapu and Magellan Shrine
The Mactan Shrine, located on Mactan Island, just off the coast of Cebu City, is a must-see for everyone interested in Philippine history. It commemorates the Battle of Mactan that took place in 1521 between the Spanish and the Visayan (central Philippines) native people, along with paintings and plaques about that battle, it also contains two other important shrines - the Lapu Lapu Shrine and the Magellan Shrine.
Although Magellan is now regarded by many Filipino historians as the "enemy" who was killed by Lapu Lapu, Magellan is still remembered as the person who brought Christianity to the Philippines (commemorated by Magellan's Cross Memorial in Cebu City) and as the commander of the fleet which achieved the first ever circumnavigation of the earth.
