A unique cafe with a unique charm in BKK
A very unique cafe located inside the Mustang Blu hotel in Bangkok old town. The cafe is housed inside an old building with very cool design and aesthetics. There is a minimum order per person and each person will need to order at least two items. It is a bit pricey though. On average each drink is around THB 300 and cakes are around THB 400. So be ready to spend around THB 1500-2000 for two persons. Set up was nice and food presentation was notable though. #awesomepic #bangkok #cafe #awesomecafe #Thisiswow
FLOATING MARKET IN THAILAND
Exploring the vibrant floating markets in and around Bangkok is the best tour you can do while traveling to Thailand. Each market, a bustling hub of activity, showcases the local way of life and offers an array of fresh produce, street food, and unique goods.
Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, one of the most famous, is a lively spectacle where vendors navigate the waterways, selling everything from fruits to souvenirs.
Taling Chan Floating Market, a bit more local and less crowded, provides an authentic experience with its diverse food stalls.
We recommend using money, not credit cards, it will be much easier to negotiate, so you can enjoy the fascinating and wonderful, good prices from Thailand. We ate coconut ice cream straight from the coconut filled on top with cashew nuts and fresh flowers. The coconut ice cream cost us less than $1.
Remember to arrive early to avoid the crowds and experience the markets at their liveliest. The floating markets are not just places to shop, they're cultural snapshots, reflecting the dynamism and charm of everyday life in Thailand. A must-visit for an immersive taste of local culture.

BACC in BKK for your Artsy Soul
At the center of Bangkok, Bangkok Art and Culture Center (BACC) stands. BACC is a contemporary building housing galleries, shops, cafes, craft shops, art library, and photo studios. Admission is free and is easily accessible. It’s one of the must-visit places in Bangkok due to the famous central atrium of the building. There are 9 stories with the upper floors housing mainly the galleries. The commercial area is at the lower floors. Every level up gives a different view from the atrium. The atrium is bounded by the spiraling ramp as walkway. The interior is painted white which in my opinion easily gives due attention to the artworks or the activities inside the building. I read that one of the main considerations of the design concept of the building is flexibility. This consideration is evident in the use of features, colors, the shapes & lines, & the planning of spaces.
We were also able to visit one of the ongoing exhibitions at the top of the building titled AGEING. The artworks shown were all thought-provoking. The exhibition pieces were beautiful albeit the overall concept being lonely & reflects the reality of life.

Sky High at Mahanakhon
King Power Mahanakhon is a building in the central business district of Bangkok. It’s a skyscraper with 78 floors. It’s classified as a mixed-use building and is located at Silom Area. One of the unique activities in Bangkok is visiting the skywalk of this building.
My friends and I went on a Saturday afternoon to be able to see the sunset at the skywalk. When we arrived, we were told that the skywalk is closed as it just rained. We still continued in chances of them opening it later on as it was already sunny by the time we were at the counter buying tickets. With a stroke of luck, the counter informed us that the skywalk is open and we can already purchase tickets for it.
The first step onto the glass tray was super scary but the fear slowly subsided once you’ve overcome the first step. I was able to lie on it, sit, and chill at the glass haha. There were lots of people so it’s impossible to get an empty shot. After being satisfied with our photos, we went to the seating area and ordered drinks while waiting for the sunset. It was very hot but still enjoyable.
The ticket includes printed photos so for me I think the whole experience was worth it. This is a must do activity when visiting Bangkok.

The Temple of Dawn
Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn, is another iconic and stunning temple located in Bangkok, Thailand. Situated on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River, Wat Arun is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the city, with its distinctive prang (spire) that soars into the sky.
The central feature of Wat Arun is its central prang, a Khmer-style tower that stands approximately 79 meters tall. The prang is intricately decorated with colorful porcelain tiles and seashells, creating a mosaic-like effect. Climbing to the top of the central prang provides panoramic views of the Chao Phraya River and the surrounding area.
Wat Arun's strategic location on the Chao Phraya River makes it a picturesque sight, especially during sunset when the temple is illuminated. Visitors often take boat rides to appreciate the temple's beauty from the water.
Wat Arun has a rich history dating back to the Ayutthaya period. It was later renovated during the reign of King Rama II and further enhanced during the 19th century by King Rama IV and King Rama V.
Wat Arun's unique architecture, riverside location, and cultural significance make it a must-visit destination in Bangkok. Whether admired from a distance across the river or explored up close within the temple complex, Wat Arun offers a visual and spiritual experience that leaves a lasting impression on visitors. #Bangkok
The Erawan Museum, Bangkok
The Erawan Museum in Bangkok is a captivating blend of art, culture, and spirituality that offers visitors a unique and immersive experience. Nestled in the southern part of the city, this museum is not just a repository of artifacts but a living testament to the rich heritage of Thailand.
The first thing that strikes you upon entering the Erawan Museum is the impressive three-headed elephant sculpture that stands tall at the entrance. This iconic symbol represents Airavata from Hindu mythology and Erawan from Thai mythology, symbolizing strength, power, and prosperity. The attention to detail in the sculpture is breathtaking, with intricate carvings and a golden sheen that adds to its majestic presence.
As you step inside, you are greeted by a vast collection of religious artifacts, antiques, and art pieces that span various periods of Thai history. The museum's interior is designed to resemble the inside of the three-headed elephant, with beautifully decorated ceilings and walls that showcase the craftsmanship of Thai artisans. The lighting is strategically placed to highlight the intricate details of each exhibit, creating a visually stunning and immersive environment.
One of the highlights of the museum is the central hall, where a sacred shrine is housed beneath the belly of the three-headed elephant. The spiritual ambiance of this space adds a profound dimension to the overall experience, making it more than just a museum visit. Visitors have the opportunity to gain insight into Thai religious practices and beliefs while marveling at the artistic representations of mythological stories.
The museum also features lush gardens and outdoor exhibits, providing a serene environment for visitors to explore. The well-maintained grounds add to the overall charm of the Erawan Museum, offering a pleasant contrast to the hustle and bustle of Bangkok.
While the Erawan Museum may not be as well-known as some of Bangkok's other attractions, it is a hidden gem that deserves attention. Whether you are a history buff, an art enthusiast, or someone seeking a unique cultural experience, the Erawan Museum offers a journey through time and mythology that is both educational and awe-inspiring. The museum's commitment to preserving and showcasing Thailand's cultural heritage is evident in every corner, making it a must-visit destination for those looking to delve deeper into the country's rich tapestry of traditions. #Erawan #Bangkok

Hidden Gem in Bangkok: Paksika Restaurant
#wheretogo #bangkok
The wonders of Thai cuisine comes packaged in a humble little eatery along a five foot pathway between Peninsula Hotel and Siam Icon. Don’t be misled by its unassuming exterior because what lies within is a gem of a chef, who is also the owner. Ingredients are carefully selected daily for quality and freshness, from the seafood to herbs used in her cooking, so you know that what is on your plate is nothing but the best.
It’s one of the best Thai restaurants. Each dish is cooked with genuine passion. The grilled marinated pork neck is the best I’ve ever tasted in Thailand! Don’t give this restaurant a miss. You could call to prearrange your menu so you can get the best catch of the day. It’s like private dining if you plan ahead.

This place is a hidden gem at Bangkok and it’s a 🤩👍🏻 for all those cafe lovers! The place is absolutely stunning! The cafe has a Moroccan theme and I was impressed by the decor and atmosphere. Great secondhand bookstore over 3 floors. Mostly English language although there is a decent volume of Thai, German, Dutch, French and Scandinavian books (and probably a few others, mostly on the top floor). Books are arranged nicely and the cafe area is quite tiny. The atmosphere is relaxing and they have a selection of drinks and a cozy area to sit and relax. Despite the overall small space, it didn't really feel cramped. Highly recommended any book lovers to spend sometime here and find some gems! #bangkok #cafehoppingbkk #foodie
Sleeping among the clouds in Bangkok! ☁️
I must say, The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon was absolutely my best stay in Bangkok so far! From the check-in to the breakfast, the service was impeccable. The artfully-designed room was incredibly spacious and well-appointed, and the view was nothing short of spectacular! Being on the 18th floor made it felt like I was sleeping amidst the skyscrapers and floating in mid-air! One highlight was the complimentary pass to Sky Beach, the rooftop bar located on the 78th floor. It was truly mesmerizing to spot all the malls and temples I had visited during daytime from this height. The 360 view was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that should not be missed! #freehotelstay #bangkok #thailand

Step inside the Golden Palace
The Grand Palace in Bangkok is potentially one of the most well known places to visit. It’s no wonder that this is a busy temple and palace area to visit, tour groups always add this to the itinerary.
Entrance fee is 500baht - you can easily spend hours here as the grounds are huge.
Everywhere you look, there’s people taking photos and speakers with tall poles and microphones.
I visited on a dull day which meant the temperature wasn’t too extreme.
After you can walk down the road towards Wat Pho and visit some small market shops and eat at the pretty local restaurants.

Must see in Bangkok, Wat Arun Temple
#weekendgetaways
A trip to Bangkok would never be complete without a visit to the very famous Temple, Wat Arun of Temple of dawn.
A way to get here is to ride 2 types of boat, the orange flag one or the blue flag one, prices range from 15 to 30 baht. For me, i prefer to ride the blue flag/ Hop in Hop off boat for 30baht, not only it is bigger but you can seat on the deck floor and enjoy the sight of chao phraya river, that in itself is an attraction as well.
Entering the temple proper will cost you 100 baht and you must dress modestly to enter.
Wat Arun on sunset is just a gem, that golden hour glow certainly adds more to the beauty of the temple✨
