Kopan Monastery, Kathmandu, Nepal
Kopan Monastery is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery near Boudhanath, on the outskirts of Kathmandu, Nepal. It is a member of the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition, an international network of Gelugpa dharma centers, and once served as its headquarters.
Monastery offers residential facilities for its guests, students, and retreaters in comfortable accommodation. Different levels of accommodation are available, from Deluxe Suite to Dormitory.
The monastery was established by the FPMT's founders, Lamas Thubten Yeshe and Thubten Zopa Rinpoche, who bought the property from Nepal's royal astrologer in 1969. Its name comes from the name of the hill on which it was built. Kopan has become especially famous for teaching Buddhism to visiting Westerners.

Manakamana Temple
Everyone believes that this temple is the place where we wished something that will be fulfilled. Mana means our soul and Kamana means wishes so the meaning of Manakamana is wishes of our soul. So that people believe that the goddess Bhagawati has the power to grand our wishes because Bhagawati is the core god of this temple.
People they sell the name of the Manakamana when they sell Orange. The seller used to say that this orange is came from Manakamana or this orange is Manakamana’s orange. Also naturally this place is very attractive because located in the middle of Kathmandu and Pokhara. And on the top of the hill with the vistas of the majestic mountains.

Breathing in the peaceful mountain air…
We had such a pleasant time in Nagarkot and the surrounding area on the outskirts of Kathmandu Valley… we absolutely loved the tranquility and calmness of this town and its people.
A lovely morning walk to the Buddha Peace Park, along village roads and amongst the friendly locals, not many better ways to start your day!
And try to wake up early enough to catch the sun rising over the Himalayan mountains - even if there’s a light cloud cover,#nagarkot #Nepal #Buddha it’s still extraordinary!
Tranquility in the outskirts of Kathmandu
A beautiful two-night stay in Nagarkot, waking up to a stunning view of the Himalayas.
Plenty of good hiking trails that can take you around the area, and provide many scenic viewpoints/vistas to the glorious mountain chain.
We’re staying at Hotel Village View and highly recommend for a cheap and good-value stay! The Panorama restaurant in town also has amazing food at great prices.
Also very straight forward & cheap getting from Thamel to Nagarkot - just take the local buses! An authentic and exciting way to travel around.

Bhaktapur’s stunning royal architecture
We had the pleasure of stopping by Bhaktapur Durbar Square and wandering through this beautiful historical district.
These buildings and temples have been so well preserved; it’s an incredible feat, and a testament to the locals’ appreciation of their royal roots here. It truly feels as if you’re walking amongst them in the time period they were occupied by royalty, which was around 14th century!
A lot of appreciation and respect towards the government and locals who value these structures so much, and take pride in their ancestors work to such an extent. #bhaktapur #Nepal #architecture
🇳🇵 Kathmandu Monkey Temple 🐒
Attraction: Swoyambhu Mahachaitya (Monkey Temple)
Address: Bhaganpau 44600, Nepal
Direction: Take Taxi
Price : 200NPR for foreigners ,50NPR for SAARC nationals
Swoyambhu Mahachaitya is also known as the monkey temple. It is a very old Buddhist stupa where many people locals comes and worship. Apart from being a worshipping site, it also is a view point where you can over look the whole Kathmandu. I was very amazed by the view. You can also see many monkeys along the way, make sure you don't feed them!

Shivapuri at it's best
#travel #hikingtrails #walkingaround I with my group hiked our way to the surreal streams of Shivapuri. The hike for it's most parts wasn't that difficult but on our way up to the stream from an staircase like way became a bit difficult as it involved walking to slippery rocks along with fast flowing water. It was a package of both adventure and peace. The hike really helped me get away from the hassle of the busy life in Kathmandu #kathmandu#nepal
High quality Hostel in Pokhara
#wecreate
There are many hostels in Pokhara, which is a good news for backpackers, however the issue is there there are too many to choose from.
I stayed in a hostel called Pokhara backpacker hostel, dorm rooms are roughly 8-9 usd with breakfast! And the breakfast is very high quality!
Although dorm rooms do not include ACs, but there were individual fans for each bed, and the weather in Nepal is rather cool, there isn’t really a big need for AC.
This is indeed one of the best hostel I stayed.

Sarangkot - Hidden gem in Nepal
Most people when visiting Nepal, they would visit Pokhara, but there is a stunning place that most people will miss out, that is Sarangkot.
All you need to do is take taxi to Cable car station (around 10 mins from city center). Then take the stunning cable car ride up! The view is absolutely amazing.
Do head to Sarangkot view point for amazing Sunrise and sunset view. If possible, stay there for a night and enjoy the fascinating view all day. You definitely will not regret.#sarangkot #nepal #Pokhara #尼泊爾

Nepal - A warm and friendly country
This was my first time visiting Nepal and I fell in love with Nepal on my very first day! People are very friendly, they smile at you and trying to help you out! My InDrive driver always chat with me when picking me up.
I joined a tour and the person from travel agency always ask me if everything was fine. he made sure I am not having any issues and enjoying my Trip. I never experienced this before.
No matter it is driver, restaurant staff or shop keeper , they are always happy to chat with you. That’s what makes travellers happy, a warm and friendly welcome. I enjoyed my 2 weeks in Nepal and I am definitely visiting again! #Nepal #kathmandu #尼泊爾 #wecreate
Nepal is very underrated country!
I visited Nepal for 2 weeks and it was one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had. Nepalese are so kind and friendly, most people also speaks English so language barrier is not big issue.
The country also has so much good food, especially vegetarian and halal food, so it is suitable for people with different dietary requirements.
The weather in Nepal is also much cooler than neighbouring countries as it is surrounded by mountains. The view is always stunning no matter where you are.
Here are some of my recommendations for travelling to Kathmandu:
Things to do in Thamel:
- Visit Asan Bazar (huge bazar selling various items, remember to try the lassi around the area, one of the best I have ever tried)
- Visit Darbar Square, UNESCO world heritage, you need to get a ticket to visit, do check out the timing to see the living goddess (Kumari). She will show her face for around 30 seconds few times a day.
- Try “TipTop Samosa”, must try the samosa here, cheap, fresh and delicious $0.35USD for each only
- Visit Monkey Temple, one of the highest points in Kathleen. The view from there is amazing
- Have a cup of tea or snack at Rooftop restaurant at Flock Hostel and Yog Hostel, the view from there is stunning.#nepal #kathmandu #尼泊爾 #urbanexplorer #summervacation

Jacaranda flower during spring in Kathmandu
#celebratewithtrip #mytripvlog #tripblazers #urbanexplorer #nepal #nepaltravel As the spring season reaches its peak in Kathmandu, major roads in the city turn purple. Beautiful flowers from big plants blanket tarred roads and busy sidewalks—just to get crushed by speeding tyres and hastening feet after a while. But, if you catch the scene before the blooms are trodden by the vehicles and people, you will feel blissful for a moment.

Pokhara, Nepal ..
Pokhara is one of the most peaceful city in Nepal. I enjoyed clean weather and the nightlife here so much. The way I chose to be there was pretty hard; I decided to take a tourist bus just to see the nice views. But it took almost 9 hours from Kathmandu. Hahahhahaa.. Not that bad cause you will enjoy the nature along the dirt road which was under construction.
Once I got to the city, I walk along the lakeside and amazed with the beautiful peaceful scene of the lake with mountains. It's one of my favorite place in Nepal. And I'm certain you'll love it.

Bhaktapur, simply the best..
It's impossible not to go to the old city in Nepal like Bhaktapur. It's one of the wonderful place I like the most. With beautiful architecture and cultures in the town, it amazed me in every corners.
I recommend to hire a local guide to learn more about this place. It's much more enjoyable to see and listen to the stories at the same time.
Another best thing there was a cup of yogurt!! Wanna eat it more and more!!#bhaktapur #nepal
Mardi Himal Trek ..
Once in a life time, we all have a dream destination. I've never thought that I would be able to hike in Himalayas. But it happened! I'd planned to trek in Mardi Himal after I read stories about this place. I told myself that I should see the Machapuchare or Fish tail mountain through my own eyes.
Even though I'd prepared myself for a few months, I was super exhausted with the 5-day trek. We started at Kande to Deurali on the first day and it was easy 3-hour trek. Then it's getting harder on the 2nd day to Low camp. The 3rd day to High Camp also tiring. But the most difficult part for me was climbing up to the view point. Once I got there, I felt like I accomplished one of the hardest goals in my life. Because I never give up, I got what I want!

Patan, Nepal
After landed at Tribhuvan International Airport, I accidentally met a new friend and we took a taxi to Patan. It's 1,200 NRP for the taxi and we get to Patan Durbar Square which is quite old, but incredible.
I enjoy walking around on narrow road with so many cars and motorbike. We saw people sitting, walking, enjoying their normal day as simple as that. There're also many old shops to see old fashion lifestyle and beautiful antiques to collect.

Experience The Wonders of Nepal 🇳🇵
Beautiful Nepal is a land of friendly and not overly engaging people, where deities hang with mortals at magnificent temples, monasteries and historical monuments can be found at almost every turn!
This is the home of Sagarmatha “Goddess Mother of the World”, the towering Mount Everest, and her snow-capped counterparts making up the spectacular Himalayas.
From eight of the fourteen tallest mountains in the world to the flourishing Terai plains of Jhapa, you will find you’ll have your camera glued to your hands at all times. To take in the wonders of the Himalayas..
Nepal’s startling beauty is at its best in Pokhara , in my opinion . Which has been the subject of many travel writers. The spectacular backdrop of the snowy peaks of the Annapurna Range 🏔

4days Trek to POON HILL
This is a relatively short trek of a 45 kilometre circuit in a clockwise direction climaxing at an altitude of 3250m at Poon Hill. The trek offers spectacular views of deep valleys and magnificent mountains and the perfect taster of what it's like to trek in Nepal.

Mesmerizing Trek at Namche Bazaar
#CelebrateWithTrip
Namche Bazaar (3440m) is the unofficial capital of the Khumbu region of Nepal, and is a major stop-off point for trekkers and climbers heading for Mount Everest base camp. The village is located on crescent shaped mountain slopes that offer stunning views of the mountains across the valley. It is a grueling 3 to 4 hour climb up from the river to Namche, and at 3,500 metres, it is possible to suffer altitude sickness here. Therefore, it is advisable to spend at least two nights in the village to acclimatize like we did. The temperature was sooo cold that we spent nights near the fireplace
The place is so mesmerizing and no words can describe the experience we had here. we cant wait for our next journey on the next trek.

Bidding Farewell, Everest Panorama Trek
#CelebrateWithTrip
It's time for us to bid farewell to the majestic mountain range that we ventured for nearly 8 days. it was so hard to say goodbye but we know we gonna be here once again hopefully to conquer the Everest Base Camp, atleast.
We gonna miss our sherpa; Baba & Raj. The food, the hospitality, the amazing view and the people. But one thing for sure, we are not missing the coldness. I dont enjoy the need to freeze everytime we had to take ablution, wash our face, and even brushing our teeth. heheh. sleeping in the bag was also not fun. but we are glad to experience all that.
On our way back, we took a picture to the highest unofficial starbucks outlet at Solukhumbu region.

Serenity at its peak.
Boudhanath Stupa. This is what I call serene.#bucketlistreboot#mytripvlog #stupa #nepal #peace #peaceful. Named after its immense stupa, Boudhha is a pilgrimage destination for Tibetans. Devotees stroll around the gleaming white dome adorned with painted Buddha eyes and visit nearby monasteries and schools for prayers and seminars. Tucked-away eateries serve up momos and thukpa noodle soup, while more upmarket restaurants offer stupa views. Silk thangka paintings are a popular buy in the area’s souvenir shops. The vibe and the atmosphere around the stupa always puts to peace.#bucketlistreboot

Stayed in Kathmandu for a month and everything about it was magical😍. Although it was summer, the weather in kathmandu was perfect. It was hot during daytime but cool at night time. We had rainy days which helped with the summer heat and it was just perfect compared to other cities in Nepal, which were just extremely hot.
We stayed in an apartment near boudha and the view was just amazing no matter what time of the day you see it. Especially the Boudhanath Stupa, it was just majestic and magical, you just get a feeling of relief when you watch it, its pleasing to the eye and the soul, it was really fun doing circles around boudha.
Kathmandu is very lively in the day time but even livelier at night. We did frequent thamel which is the place to experience proper nightlife in nepal, it just doesnt sleep. We went to club Platinum , Senate and LOD and had the best experience ever drinking and doing shisha with friends and locals🍾🤩.
Definitely recomment visiting this capital city of Nepal🤩❤️

Durban Square.
Durbar Square, also known as Hanuman Dhoka Durbar is a place that you can’t miss if you are in the city of Kathmandu. Located in the hearth of the city's down town it is impossible to miss out this place.
You can literally just walk from the hotel (if you are staying in the area). The recommended sightseeing time is between one to two hours.
There are many restaurants and cafe to stop by and indulge yourself with delicious local food or buying authentic souvenirs. This is the kind of places you must feel proud to visit and enjoy in person as it’s part of the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
This is an incredible experience for those who love history and culture.

Pashupatinath Temple
Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most important religious and historical places in Kathmandu - Nepal. The recommended sightseeing time is half an hour or maximum one hour.
I strongly recommend to be respectful and discreet when taking pictures. Be quiet and don’t forget that this is not JUST a tourist attraction but also an active religious place where people still worships and celebrate their beliefs. In fact local people burn the dead bodies as part of their religious ritual here so be aware of that beforehand.
This is the most important temple dedicated to god Shiva and it is worth to visit.
