In the big bird residence of Hakone Shrine, there is a big lake wave, and finally, we accidentally stumble into a century old Western restaurant. Modern western Japanese onsen hotel

We love this onsen hotel best!! It offers shuttle from gora station. It’s open air onsen offers is great mountain view. The service is superb. Hotel facilities and amenities are just wonderful. All the staff are friendly and professional. The room is spacious and has private onsen. But we didn’t have time to use it coz it offers 2 outdoors onsen and an indoor onsen. We tried all the 3 and love them all! The lobby area offers wide varieties of drinks (alcohol and non alcoholic) and free ice cream during the day. We booked a half board package and love the food. Not only the wide varieties of food but the quality of food is just fantastic! Overall, best experience and best onsen hotel ever! Love it! #onsen#onsenhotel #hakone #ten-yu

In room onsen at Hotel Indigo Hakone Gora

Stayed at Hotel Indigo Hakone Gora for 1 night in my recent visit to Hakone. They provide free parking just parked outside our hotel. Room is huge, they had a separate toilet and shower area but there’s a charge fee to use the onsen itself in your own room. They provide a normal shower area and an onsen area just side by side so you can soak and rinse right after. The toilet is just right by the hotel room door, not sure why they split it so far though. #wheretogo #wheretostay #hakone

Mount Fuji view hotel

Smooth check in and the staff were helpful and friendly. The room is spacious and clean. The public bath available to use for free for hotel guests. If you like to have a good view of Mount Fuji and going to premium outlet for shopping, this hotel is a ideal choice. Bus stop is just outside the hotel for those going back to Shinjuku. The downside is check out time is 10am. Otherwise all is good. #mytripvlog #hakone

Hakone is one of the most popular hot spring resorts in Japan🇯🇵 Just 1.3hrs train from Tokyo city center to enjoy the high quality hot spring💆🏻They provide a free shuttle bus next to the Hakone train station to get to there. I booked the private onsen but they do public bath houses as well. 🔅Tips -Most Japanese website don’t provide Eng version, not easy to make a reservation..so I recommend call their concierge directly or ask your local hotel/hostel for a favour -Their booking slot opens in every two months in advance, mark in calendar to make the reservation -They have an express train go from Tokyo to Hakone and return directly but it is easily fully booked, I suggest to pre-purchase the train ticket online (no one told me to do that so I didn’t have any train to back Tokyo on the day I visited) (yes, it is not easy🥲) 📍Address: 4 Tonosawa, Hakone - machi, Ashigarashimo - gun, Kanagawa 250 - 0315 #onsen #tokyo #hotspring #hakone

As you enjoy your meal, the sounds from the flowing water will calm your mind. The interior architecture is beautiful and resembles a traditional Japanese home. The interesting thing about them is that they handmade their buckwheat noodles without water, resulting in a chewy texture. I had the tempura soba with a side of grated mountain yam and raw egg. The taste is light on the palate and you can taste the freshness of each ingredient. As someone who appreciates clean tasting food, it was a hit for me. For those who prefer stronger flavours, fret not as they have other accompaniments to choose from. a fun day trip to Hakone where you find a lot eye catching huge red shrines along the way. when u walk from temple to waterside across the road, you will find a interesting huge shrine soaking its little foot into water. it's extra fascinating when the iconic tour boat gets into your pictures at the back. it is even nicer in rain with the hazy look. #hakone

If you visit #japan, you should go to #hakone it’s only a short train journey away. you can spend 2-3 days and visit the Onsen, which are traditional Japanese bath houses which are a experience in themselves. You can then do a day tour which takes you to the open air art museum, you can go and see the volcano - where you can buy and eat black eggs!! take a boat across to see the #torigate and you even go up the volcano in a cable car. it’s a great day out and then I’d recommend relaxing in the #onsen if your comfortable enough. Once we finished from visiting beautiful Hakone, which in the winter is even more beautiful as it snows - so you can visit any season. We made a day trip to Hakone hoping to get a glimpse of the famous Mount Fuji. It wasnt our lucky day as it was cloudy. Nonetheless it was a amazing day there. We queued at the famous Hakone shrine to take photos. Had soft serve ice cream (it was everywhere). And also went on a relaxing boat trip. If you want a bird's eye view of the place and maybe a better chance of seeing Mount Fuji, you can also go on the Hakone Komagatake Ropeway. You can always enjoy the view and take many photos if Mount Fuji remains elusive. We took the shinkansen from Tokyo to Hakone. Lovely Tranquil Torii of Peace, Hakone

#createwithtrip to visit a tranquil and beautiful location. To get there, either take the lake Ashi Pirate Ship cruise from Togendai-ko to Hakone macho-ko or Hakone Tozan Bus directly to Hakone machi-ko. This shrine is a 10 mins walk from the pier/bus station. A gentle slope plus some steps. Normally on weekends or public holidays, expect a crowd and everyone will patiently queue for they turn to take photos. During my trip, there 2 big group of tourists who were trying to take multiple angles and repeated shots of the same angle with different poses 🤦🏻‍♂️ not nice, finally the whole queue voiced their dissatisfaction as there is no temple staff to keep the queue moving. Thus, please be nice, keep your turn brisk, while you queue, think of the angles and poses first. #japan #hakone #toriigate #offthebeatentrack

Getting There - from Tokyo, take the Odakyu line from Shinjuku and switch to Hakone Ropeway to Togendai-Ko to board the pirate cruise ship Attractions - sights around Lake Ashi including Hakone-jinja Shrine with its torii gate in the lake The lake is a beautiful day out from Tokyo. On board the pirate cruise ship, there are 2 sections - Regular and VIP. Hakone - Volcano with lake & Mount Fuji View

Enjoyed a lot of different things here, Pirate ship with Mount Fuji and Torii View, Volcano Steam, Black Egg, Black Ramen, Cable Car, Mountain Train, Onsen and many others more. I wonder why there is a lake on the mountain. It’s called the Ashi no ko. Highly recommend. The environment is very comfy and slow pace here compare to Tokyo CBD. Love the room and private onsen in yaeikan. We enjoyed the traditional Japanese meals in our room. Room is clean and the staffs very friendly. We got a voucher from the ryokan as well that can spend in most of the shop around hakone 🫶 The place is easy to find. We really highly recommend! The weather during March is still a bit cold and windy, lining up for 45 mins to take a pic in hakone shrine was exhausted but worth it 🫶 #japan #hakone #staycations
