❤️VENICE IN AUTUMN
#helloautumn
Advantages of Visiting Venice in Autumn
There are actually a lot of advantages to visiting Venice in the autumn.
For one, prices are cheap, including hotel rates and airfares.
Second, there are lesser tourist crowds, so sightseeing is easier.
Third, the heat that summer usually brings is gloriously absent. Consider the occasional frolic in the water (with boots, of course) a one-of-a-kind experience that cannot be experienced in other destinations.
Also, it makes for a good travel story afterward (like how we were almost talked into buying those pricey boots). Besides, high tides occur only until mid-morning and late at night.

BRASOV
Explore The City Of Brașov
Brașov is often known as the gateway into Transylvania and is located about 166 km (103 miles) from the capital of Bucharest
It’s one of the most visited cities in Romania and that's due to its picturesque location, beautiful architecture and relaxing atmosphere.
Some of the most popular places to visit in Brașov include the Piața Sfatului (the council square), the Biserica Negara and Catherine's Tower.
Make sure you also wander down Strada Republicii which is the city's lively main street.
However, one of the most popular things to do is to take the cable car or hike up to Mount Tâmpa.
The most famous hiking route up is the ‘the Knight's Road’ which dates back to the days of the citadel making it the oldest route to the summit.
Not only is there a Hollywood-like ‘BRASOV’ sign at the top, but Mount Tâmpa is also home to golden eagles, grey wolves, brown bears and Eurasian

Great Wall of China
A cultural heritage second to none!
Seeing and walking the 'Great Wall' is a must have being in China. With a total length of around 21k km its an outstanding construction. In this place you can walk a while after a cable car brings you to the top of a mountain. There are fantastic views both sides over the hills and mountains. We were lucky with almost nobody around us, however check the numbers of visitors upfront, as it can be extremely packed. At night the wall is being illuminated with gives a very special impression. Don't miss to go there when around!

Ming Dynasty Tombs
Located about fifty kilometers northwest of Beijing at the foothill of mountain was impressive Mausoleum where 13 Ming dynasty Emperors & Empress were buried. At the side of the road leading to tomb were stone animals & warriors. Entrance of tomb was red painted building as that of forbidden city. A huge stone gate led to the site of burial at slope of mountain. There was a hall displaying Emperors & Empress robes, ornaments etc. A good place to visit while in Beijing.

Yuanmingyuan Park
It is the most beautiful park i have ever seen. You can get all the basic information about the three gardens in old summer palace on various websites.
Personally I found fuhai area to be the most serene and beautiful area of the park. It's covered in dense trees and opening leads to the lake. One can walk along side the lake or sit at a bench and enjoy the view. Changchun garden is beautiful. There is a lotus viewing area although to be frank, there were only handful of lotuses when I visited. Nevertheless its beautiful.

All tickets can be pre-book or buy at the front of the gate. Once purchase the security will scan your passport, so make sure you bring your passport with you all the time. Inside the temple is very breathtaking. All historical buildings are well preserved. Make sure to visit the mini museums within one of the room to learn more about Buddhism and the history of Lama Temple.

Summer Palace
The place was so beautiful, during our visit it was really crowded (weekend) and hot Summer time in Beijing. There are so many sightseeing in this place, mostly related to the emperor's history, prepare yourself because the path is climbing the stairs until top level, on the top you can see the lake view, the bridge and city view. Bought the entrance fee through online around RMB 60.
#beijingtrip
Forbidden City
This place is beautiful, showing off very interesting architecture and intricate patterns coming from old times.
You can see that China has a long empire history of crazy emperors with a desire of enormous creations that would require unimaginable amount of labour and working people.
And you can see that all around Middle-earth but this is one of the culminating points of some emperors's desire, cause for a palace it is pretty damn big and as much beautiful.
#beijingtrip
The Palace Museum
The main historical site in Beijing the former imperial palace is a large site so expect walk a lot, most of the sites are outside so weather is a factor to consider. The audio guide is a must if you want to get sense of what you see , it also has a map of the place on the back. Some times the site is very crowded, is much nicer in less crowded days. There are several food / drinks options on site. l
#beijingtrip
Meridian Gate
Amazing architecture, this is actually the main entrance to The Palace Museum so if you want to skip Tiananmen Square and all the tour groups or if you’re tight on time I recommend to walk around and enter The Palace Museum from here. Make sure you purchase tickets in advance as ticket numbers are limited daily.
It looks very majestic and magnificent, not only beautiful but also the culture of the people here. This attraction is very beautiful and dignified. Great

Liulichang
A great street for calligraphy, art and painting lovers. Be ready to shell out quite a bit for exquisite brushes & inksticks. Plenty of ink paintings on sale too. Bargaining was difficult here. Do a bit of research on types of paper/brushes etc so you know what to look for! It can be quite overwhelming . A couple of antique stores too!
A beautiful place where you can take a nice walk while enjoying the wonderful atmosphere

Temple of Heaven
This is one of my favorite places that I had the possibility to visit across my trip in China, It is so wonderfully and magnificently designed that it seems out of this world. And it was probably even more many years ago when it wasn't crowded with tourists.
It looks unreal from outside and inside and resembles a vessel taking you directly to or communicating with Heaven or wherever whichever dimension or space time.
This art and display of timeless imagination seems to have been lost many decades ago. And it is beatifully conserve so that we can see this wonder and wonder about it.

#beijingtrip
Although my exposures to theme parks are quite limited, I have had my share of fun 😉 & experience of these amusement parks 🎢🎡 With that in mind, when I visited Universal studios in Beijing it instantly captured my attention and got me going with no track of time 😁 Especially when I entered the Harry Potter castle 🏰 it was quite nostalgic and I saw the castle 🏯 the same way I watched the movie without blink of my eyes 😆. Also to up the mood, people who came to the theme park also were quite dressed up as team Griffindos with the magic 🪄 wand. Also I would highly suggest to take the magic ride inside the castle which was pure adrenaline rush. It's unequivocally one of the best theme parks in China! #tripblazers#urbanexplorer#ukcreator
❤️ The Dancing House, Prague
#fallingseason
Dubbed The Dancing House, Prague’s Nationale-Nederlanden building was designed by Croatian-Czech architect Vlado Milunić and Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry. The deconstructivist, or new-baroque, architecture forms the unusual dancing shape thanks to 99 concrete panels, each a different shape and dimension. The building's proved so popular that it now features on a gold 2,000 Czech koruna coin issued by the Czech National Bank.
The Controversy
The Dancing House in Prague was not an easy sell. The building is located in a city with a long and rich history, and many people were not happy about the new, modern building that was being built.
The traditional architecture of Prague is some of the most beautiful in the world, and many people felt that the Dancing House did not fit in with the rest of the city. There were even protests when the building was being built!
However, over time the Dancing House has become a true gem of Prague and is now one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city.
Why Visit the Dancing House?
The Dancing House is one of the most unique buildings in the world, and it is definitely worth a visit. The building was designed by world-famous architect Frank Gehry, and it is unlike any other building in Prague. The building is also home to several businesses and restaurants, so you can explore the inside of the building as well.

Beijing must see
The Temple of Heaven, located in Beijing, is a masterpiece of ancient Chinese architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Built in the 15th century during the Ming Dynasty, it served as a sacred place for emperors to perform religious rituals and pray for good harvests. The complex covers 270 acres and comprises the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, Circular Mound Altar, and the Imperial Vault of Heaven, all surrounded by tranquil gardens and historical trees. The temple's intricate wooden structure, vibrant colors, and symbolic designs reflect the deep spiritual beliefs of the Chinese people. BEST THINGS TO DO IN CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA IN THE FALL
Carmel-by-the-Sea was described to me as a Village in the Forest by the Sea by Hofsas House Owner and General Manager, Carrie Theis. I had not started my 48 hour adventure, but those exact words described the type of experience that I was about to embark on in Carmel-by-the-Sea this Fall. Glorious sunsets overlooking the Pacific Ocean, renown shopping, excellent wine tasting rooms, and more would be a few of the adventures that I would encounter in the Village in the Forest by the Sea.
What type of person does Carmel-by-the-Sea in the Fall appeal to for a Fall break? Just about anyone trying to find respite from the chaos of everyday life, beach-lovers, foodies, and oenophiles. The shopping and wine tasting rooms make this destination perfect for a girls weekend or a romantic weekend with your partner. Similarly, Carmel is a perfect destination for the solo-traveler, like me, that is independent, adventurous, loves to shop, and finds enjoyment in exploring California’s Cuisine and Wine.

Italy is the preferred destination for travellers from all over the world and Florence is the preferred destination for travelers looking for the most romantic destinations in Europe, the best cultural events in Europe and the most beautiful museums in Europe.
Come and discover in the quiet of an autumn day, the Uffizi Gallery, the Michelangelo's David and the Florence Duomo.
Florence, capital of Italy’s Tuscany region, is home to many masterpieces of Renaissance art and architecture. One of its most iconic sights is the Duomo, a cathedral with a terracotta-tiled dome engineered by Brunelleschi and a bell tower by Giotto. The Galleria dell'Accademia displays Michelangelo’s “David” sculpture. The Uffizi Gallery exhibits Botticelli’s “The Birth of Venus” and da Vinci’s “Annunciation.”

798 Beijing
#beijingtrip
The 798 Art District is a quirky area that I did not expect to find in China’s capital of Beijing. I visited on a weekday morning, so there were not many people but friends have said they attended events here on the weekends and evenings and met artists and interesting people from all over the world. I found some nice cafes there and of course, various art shops, statues, and murals. Very Instagram-worthy!

The Simatai Great Wall
Gubei Water Town is a gorgeous fairy-tale town situated below the Great Wall. The Simatai Great wall looms so high above the water town, it gives the impression that it may be floating in the clouds, as the lights of wall switch on at dusk and are just barely visible through a thin layer of mist that gently veils the mountain.
I suggest a walk up to the Great Wall, the scenery is incredible, and then to take the cable car down.
The water town is best explored in the evening/night, it really comes to life and there are many types of delicious foods and beautiful trinkets to be bought.
Enjoy your Fairy-tale escape☺️

Michigan: Mackinac
#fallingseason
If you've only been to Michigan's Mackinac region during the summer (or never been at all), you owe yourself a fall trip. You'll find the best seats on ferries, prime lakeside-restaurant tables, wonderfully deserted hiking trails, bargain hotel rates—and stunning fall color. Plus, a new food festival, Cork & Fork at the Grand Hotel, promises a weekend of great food created by Midwest female chefs.
Thanks to the insulating effects of the Great Lakes, the color show here often starts in late September and stretches into late October. Fall foliage forms a backdrop everywhere you turn: riding along on an island carriage tour; driving the Tunnel of Trees (State-119) near Cross Village; exploring Mackinac Island State Park; or crossing a forest-canopied bridge at Historic Mill Creek Discovery Park near Mackinaw City. Read more about why you should visit this idyllic, car-free destination.

Sunrise on the great wall.
I'm not a person who makes habit of getting up before the sun, but on this occasion, I've made an exception more than once. I must admit, I have rarely felt more at peace than I have when sitting on the wall as the sun comes up, and funnily enough, I didn't feel the need to return to sleep. If you are in Beijing, head up to Gubeikou and wake up early for the Great sunrise, then you can take a day trip to the Gubei water town from there.

📍 Takachiho Gorge, Japan 🇯🇵
Takachiho Gorge is a narrow chasm cut through the rock by the Gokase River. The nearly sheer cliffs lining the gorge are made of volcanic basalt columns which resemble the scales of a dragon where the stone twisted and flowed as it formed.
Partway along the gorge is the 17 meter high Minainotaki waterfall cascading down to the river below, and it is truly impressive to see the waterfall against a backdrop of dense green foliage and the surrounding grey cliffs.
There are two perspectives from which to enjoy the gorge. The first is from below which is done by rowing down the river. Rental boats are available at the south end of the gorge, and the water is calm and easy to navigate. This highly recommended route offers a close up view of the cliffs and waterfall.
The second perspective, from above, is done by walking the paved path that runs along the edge of the gorge. There are beautiful views all along the way and at some points on the trail you can look practically straight down to the river below. The trail continues for about one kilometer, eventually leading to the Takachiho Shrine.
There are a few other things to see and do around the southern end of the gorge including a freshwater aquarium, a stocked fishing pond and a few restaurants and souvenir shops. The gorge is illuminated during the summer months until 22:00.
The Takachiho Gorge is located just outside the town center, about a 30-40 minute walk from the Takachiho Bus Center. Alternatively, the gorge can be accessed by rental bicycle or taxi.

Universal Studios Beijing.
Lots of genuine fun! Loved the Hollywood themed entrance. The coffee's at the Hollywood café were a great way to start the day.
If I can give any advice, it's to check out all the areas first and only go on the rides that have a low waiting time instead of wasting your time in long lines. I noticed that the lines that were long earlier in the day, were shorter later on, so you can always go back and ride when the line is shorter.
The place is really beautiful at night, especially Harry Potter world, so don't go home early or you'll miss it.
I recommend staying in the James Joyce hotel, it's close and quite reasonable. They have complimentary coffee at the desk. The hotel has a cool retro theme, and a Harry Potter set up downstairs where you can hire some witch and wizard costumes. They also have a shuttle to Universal that runs once a day.

Tsinghua University: Tradition & Innovation
My visit to Tsinghua University was a fascinating experience. The campus's blend of modern architecture and traditional Chinese aesthetics left a lasting impression. As a Malaysian, I was struck by the vibrant international community at Tsinghua. Interacting with students from diverse backgrounds enriched my cultural understanding.
Academically, Tsinghua's reputation precedes it. The university's commitment to innovation and cutting-edge research was evident, particularly in its state-of-the-art laboratories and libraries. The faculty members were not only knowledgeable but also approachable, fostering a conducive learning environment.
Exploring Beijing from Tsinghua's central location was convenient, allowing me to immerse myself in Chinese culture and history. The university's extracurricular activities, including clubs and cultural events, provided ample opportunities for social engagement.
In conclusion, Tsinghua University is not just a prestigious academic institution; it's a gateway to a rich cultural experience, making it an enticing prospect for Malaysian students seeking global education and personal growth.
