The Ritz-Carlton Chinese Restaurant features a soft and crispy outer skin for its red rice rolls, tender and fragrant shrimp meat, and firm and juicy baby lobster meat. The restaurant is elegant and caters to both business banquets and group meals. The Cantonese cuisine is exquisite and authentic, making it a perfect place to dine!
High above the ground, floor-to-ceiling windows offer panoramic views of the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers, providing an unobstructed view of the city's nightscape. The spacious and elegant guest rooms feature comfortable bedding and excellent amenities, allowing guests to enjoy Chongqing's iconic and magnificent river views without ever leaving the room.
I had dinner with friends I hadn't seen in a long time. The fish maw soup was delicious, and the stir-fried beef with mushrooms was also very flavorful. The waitresses were attentive, and the dinner was very quiet. I highly recommend it!
The roast goose skin of Pengge is thick and juicy, but the temperature is a little insufficient. In fact, the plate is heated, but the meat is still cold when served in winter; the scallion Wagyu beef is of good quality, with a tender taste, and paired with fried lily rings for a more layered feel; the crab meat and fish maw are used in sufficient quantities, and the soup made with crab meat and crab roe is very thick. It is a bit greasy if you eat too much, so it is suitable for soaking in rice; the beef brisket stewed in the regular soup is more delicate; the quality of the swan lava pastry is indeed the most plump, delicate and fragrant among all the lava I have eaten so far; the dessert bird's nest mango jelly has the right sweetness and distinct taste, and it does not disappoint.
This is an 8-year-old establishment, and it truly lives up to its reputation—the food is consistently excellent! The Wenchang chicken has crispy skin and tender meat, with a superb texture; the lamb brisket is braised with red wine, resulting in a tender and flavorful dish that's not at all gamey and incredibly fragrant. They also have spicy braised abalone, which I'd never tried before—it was surprisingly delicious, with a rich, savory, and chewy texture. Overall, I was very satisfied and would highly recommend it!
The ambiance was excellent, and I was very fortunate to witness the chef preparing abalone live; it tasted superb. The flambéed lobster was particularly unique, cooked with olive oil to preserve the lobster's original flavor—healthy and delicious. The service was exceptionally warm and attentive; each dish was explained to us in detail. It was a very satisfying experience, and I will definitely continue to follow this brand.
