TheForkUserthe ambience, scenery, location, setting is a 5 stars for sure.. the food was good but my only deception was the cod fish.. the menu should have emphasised this was not fresh cod but salted cod. The server did mention the dish was salty but there's a huge difference between being salty and not fresh fish. That part of the meal completely threw us off of what could have been an exceptional experience.
TheForkUserThe food was spectacular. I'm still dreaming of this dinner. We ordered the Bacalhau à Lagareiro and Vitela de Lafões... a 10/10 on both. Don't think twice... book a table!
TheForkUserExceptional food (probably the best in the valley) and location as ever. Service took time to get going and was a bit patchy. Communication in English to Portuguese was also a barrier.
TheForkUserWhat a nice surprise on a Tuesday evening, early- we arrived on time at 7:30 and were warmly greeting. Our nice waitress didn't speak English and we didn't speak Portuguese but their QR code menu has very good fotos of the dishes and we easily chose our dishes. My husband had a salmon and shrimp dish, and i had the red tuna poke bowl. Both were delicious and nicely prepared and presented. We sat outside and the area was neat and tidy. This is a nice find, and thanks to the Fork, we has a lovely dinner.
