Had a very enjoyable lunch at the Dysart just ahead of lockdown 2.0. Service was impeccable, covid precautions are top notch (think individual hand sanitisers on each table and a temperature check before entering) and the restaurant made for a beautiful place for a down to earth meal.

Food was superb and beautifully presented. We selected the a la carte menu - going for lobster and burrata and ox tail risotto (both great) for starters, turbot and game for mains (I had my heart set on the pork but sadly it wasn&#39;t on the menu the day of our visit) and the most delicious autumn fruit dessert. 

Would definitely return!

Tucked away like a secret garden in Richmond, Petersham Nurseries is a charming escape from the bustle of city life. Part caf&eacute;, part garden centre, and part lifestyle destination, it offers an atmosphere that feels both rustic and refined. The greenhouse-style caf&eacute; is filled with sunlight, antiques, and blooms, creating a dreamy setting that makes every meal feel special.

We were visiting for two nights and decided to try the restaurant out. The menu was not the same as what we saw online which was disappointing, as what we wanted was not on the menu. Ordered two mains. The burger I got wasn&rsquo;t good quality at all. They did not have the side I wanted, which wasn&rsquo;t a big deal, but they also didn&rsquo;t have the ice cream we wanted with our dessert (stated on the menu). The desserts sat on the shelf of the kitchen for a good bit of time as the chef hit the bell at least 4 times waiting for service. I was going to go up and get it myself.
The thing that annoyed us most was the fact they added a 12.5% tip to the bill, when it is stated as optional on your website. I felt the service was poor, as they knew they were getting their tip either way.

Really lovely spot and charming cafe. Lovely views over river and meadow. Wood burner in winter. A delightful little escape.

We&rsquo;ve lived in Richmond for 8 years but this was our first chance to experience. And it was a great one. Looking forward to going back. Great food and service. A memorable evening!

The tasting menu was delicious, with thoughtful wine pairings. We particularly enjoyed the scallop, ox tail risotto and duck courses. The service was excellent, led by a warm and knowledgeable ma&icirc;tre d&#39;.
