The Trip.com Rewards ("Program") is offered to frequent Trip.com customers at the sole discretion of Trip.com, and is available only to individuals who have registered as Trip.com Members.

By registering as a Trip.com Member ("Member(s)"), Members can earn Trip.com Rewards Coins ("Trip Coins") for booking and completing eligible travel products through the Trip.com website or app and redeem available Trip Coins for certain travel benefits, subject to these Terms and Conditions and the availability of eligible travel and benefit items. One Member can only hold one Trip.com account ("Account").

The terms "you" and "your" throughout these Terms and Conditions refer to any Member eligible to earn and redeem Trip Coins under this Program. By registering as a Member and earning/redeeming Trip Coins, you are deemed to agree with these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with the terms and conditions, please stop using Trip Coins and notify us. After receiving the notice, we will stop the accrual or reward of Trip Coins to your Account.

1. Rules Regarding the Upgrade of Points and C-Money to Trip Coins
   1. Points: Beginning March 28, 2019, any Points in your Account will only be able to be used on Ctrip.com. All Points earned in your Account using Trip.com before March 28, 2019 will be automatically exchanged to Trip Coins if you do not notify us your option before March 28, 2019. However, Trip.com will offer one additional chance to make a decision during the period of February 28, 2019 to September 30, 2019. This will be users' last chance to upgrade and no requests made after September 30, 2019 will be honored.
   2. C-Money: On June 7, 2020, the C-Money in your account will be upgraded to Trip Coins at a rate of 6 C-Money for 100 Trip Coins. If you would like to keep the C-Money in your account for use on Ctrip, please send a request to customer support between May 7 and June 1, 2020. If we do not receive a request during this period, the C-Money in your account will be automatically upgraded to Trip Coins.
2. How to Earn Trip Coins
   1. Trip Coins can be earned in the following ways:
      1. Booking hotels on Trip.com (web/mobile web/app).
      2. Booking flights on Trip.com (web/mobile web/app).
      3. Writing hotel reviews on Trip.com (web/mobile web/app).
   2. Trip Coins cannot be earned for any of the following booking types: Offline bookings such as those made on the phone via Trip.com customer support, direct bookings made on partner sites, bookings made on Ctrip.com, bookings which are free of charge, bookings for which part of the booking is part of a promotion (according to the information on the promotion page), any other booking Trip.com deems not to meet the criteria for earning Trip Coins. If flight tickets are canceled or changed through a non-Trip.com channel, Trip Coins will not be sent for that flight; Trip Coins that already have been sent for that flight will be deducted from your account.
   3. Conditions on Earning Trip Coins:
      1. Eligible travel must be completed. This means that you or other travelers on an itinerary using your Account must stay in the booked hotel or fly the booked flight. Trip Coins accrued for canceled flights or hotels will be deducted. For the avoidance of any doubt, when a booking contains multiple flights or hotels and only some are canceled, Trip.com will deduct the Trip Coins according to our cancellation policy.
      2. For applicable hotel and flight bookings, the amount of Trip Coins earned will be calculated according to the final payment amount for that booking (the final payment amount is the amount actually paid after discounts, promo codes, and Trip Coin discounts have been applied). Trip Coin and gift card payments do not count as part of the final payment amount, and new Trip Coins cannot be earned for spending Trip Coins. Receipts or invoices will not be provided for parts of the booking cost paid or discounted through discounts or offers, promo codes, Trip Coins, or gift cards.
      3. Trip Coins rewarded from eligible hotel reviews are based on the length of context & whether photos are included. The rules of accrual of Trip Coins from writing reviews are different from hotel/flight bookings and Trip.com has absolute right to change/adjust such rules at any time.
3. Earning Trip Coins
   1. For eligible flight/hotel bookings, 25-80 Trip Coins will be earned for every $100 spent. For eligible hotel reviews, the amount of Trip Coins rewarded will be based on the length of text, whether photos are included & other criteria. Users are responsible for checking Trip.com from time to time to stay updated on earning policies.
   2. The default currency Trip.com uses to calculate Trip Coins is USD. When paying in another currency, Trip.com's exchange rate will be used to show prices in different currencies on its site at the time of calculation.
4. How to Use Trip Coins
   1. Value of Trip Coins: 100 Trip Coins = $1
   2. You can use Trip Coins to save instantly on bookings (you need to select "Trip Coins" during the booking process). To find out whether you can use Trip Coins to save on your booking, please refer to the information on the booking page. Upper limits for how much can be discounted per booking will vary according to Trip.com promotions. Trip.com reserves the right to modify the value, restrictions, or usage methods of Trip Coins at any time and without prior notice. If Trip.com discovers any illegal or fraudulent situation, use, or intended use relating to Trip Coins, Trip.com reserves the right to remove user privileges or cancel user bookings at its sole discretion.
   4. When using Trip Coins to obtain a discount on a booking, Trip Coins which are due to expire first will be used first. Trip Coins which are due to expire on the same day will be used in the following order:
      
      1) C-Money which has been upgraded to Trip Coins
      
      2) Points which have been upgraded to Trip Coins, or Trip Coins which have been earned while booking flights or hotels on Trip.com
      
      3) Trip Coins which have been earned by writing hotel reviews or other activities on Trip.com
      
      4) Trip Coins which have been earned by any other method
   5. If for some reason your booking was canceled or refunded, the Trip Coins that were exchanged or used will be completely or partially returned to your Trip.com account. The validity period of the returned Trip Coins will be equal to the initial validity period of the used Trip Coins.
5. For flight bookings, Trip Coins will be added to your account 3 days after your departure date. If your booking includes more than one flight, Trip Coins will be added to your account 3 days after the departure date of the last flight on your booking. For hotel bookings, Trip Coins will be added to your account within 2-6 weeks after check-in has been confirmed. Sometimes it can take a little longer for us to receive confirmation from the hotel. In this case, it may take longer for you to receive your Trip Coins.
6. From May 7, 2020, the validity period for Trip Coins will be determined by the rules listed below.
   
   a. Trip Coins earned by booking hotels or flights on Trip.com have a validity of 18 months after they reach the user account. Trip Coins will expire at the end of their expiry month.
   
   b. Trip Coins earned by writing hotel reviews or other activities on Trip.com may have different expiration dates, please refer to the information on the related page.
   
   c. The expiration date for all Trip Coins which are still in the user account on May 7, 2020, and which were earned before May 7, 2020 is Nov 30, 2021.
7. Trip Coins are non-transferable, non-traded, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
8. Member Tiers:
   1. Each Account will have one Membership Tier in Trip.com. Membership Tiers are calculated based on spending over the last 12 month hotel or flight bookings (excluding redeemed promo codes) on Trip.com.
   2. Accounts with higher Membership Tiers may have more privileges. Please refer to the Trip.com site for more details. Membership Tiers, privileges, and balances (e.g. Trip Coins, C-Money) of each Account shall be based on the records in Trip.com's system.
9. Members who intend to discontinue their Membership/Account shall provide written notice to Trip.com. All remaining benefits, privileges, rewards, or Trip Coins in such Member's Account will be null and void upon the receipt of such notice by Trip.com.
10. General Terms
    1. Trip.com may, at its sole discretion, modify any of the Terms and Conditions governing the Program, at any time, even though these changes may affect your ability to use any Trip Coins or other benefits you have already earned. In the event these Terms and Conditions are modified, we will provide you notice at least 15 days before the amendment comes into effect by posting the amended terms and conditions online. You may refuse the amendment and rescind, or cancel your participation in the Program without any cost, penalty or cancellation indemnity by sending us notice to that effect no later than 30 days after the amendment comes into force. Your continued use of the Trip Coins or participation in the Program constitutes your acceptance of any changes to these Terms and Conditions. You are responsible for remaining knowledgeable as to any changes that Trip.com may make to these Terms and Conditions.
    2. The Program starts from March 28, 2019, and has no predetermined termination date. Trip.com may terminate the Program at any time. Upon termination, you will have thirty (30) days from the date the Program termination is announced to use any available Trip Coins remaining in your Account. After that date, any remaining Trip Coins will be forfeited without compensation.
    3. In the event that any Member obtains benefits in a manner that violates these Terms & Conditions (including but not limited to obtaining Trip Coins through fake transactions, fraud, applying for malicious refunds, making multiple bookings, or selling, transferring, or exchanging Trip Coins or promo codes, submitting false information, hacking accounts, violating laws, or other behavior that Trip.com deems to be malicious), Trip.com reserves the right, to the extent permitted by law, to immediately freeze or cancel the member's account, cancel all Trip Coins or promo codes obtained or in the account due to violation of regulations, or cancel or suspend the user's membership tier or related benefits without written notice. Trip.com also reserves the right to investigate the legal liability of users who have broken applicable rules.
    4. You release Trip.com and its affiliates from all liability regarding the earning, redemption, and use of Trip Coins, including any rewards that, after receipt, may be lost, stolen, or destroyed.
    5. Trip Coins and rewards earned through the Trip.com rewards program may be subject to tax liability. Trip.com members bear responsibility for all tax obligations (including information disclosure) relating to the receipt and use of Trip Coins and rewards.
    6. As a member you have the responsibility to read and understand these terms and conditions as well as other information published by Trip.com relating to the Trip.com Rewards program in order to fully understand your rights and obligations. Please contact Trip.com customer support if you have any questions relating to your account, to your Trip Coins, or to these terms and conditions, and we will reply to you within two weeks.
    7. If the English version of these Terms and Conditions conflicts with any other language version, the English version shall prevail.
    8. All interpretations of these Terms and Conditions shall be at the sole and absolute discretion of Trip.com.
