Hotel Berna

Not worth the price, a poor experience overall. **Facilities:** Extremely old. Can't believe it's 2026 and I'm still staying in a hotel that uses actual keys to open doors. The water pressure from the faucet is so strong it splashes everywhere when turned on. The TV is tiny. The curtains don't close completely, making it too bright in the morning. The bathroom light switches are covered in scour pad scratches, which looks very unappealing. **Cleanliness:** Mediocre. The chairs were dusty, and there was a thick layer of dust on the bathroom windowsill. There were also a bunch of flies around the fruit section at the self-service breakfast bar. **Ambiance:** The air conditioning unit is ancient and incredibly loud. The room became quiet the moment I turned it off, but then it got hot again. **Service:** The service was good; everyone was very enthusiastic. They even proactively got me breakfast when I arrived late. But honestly, the food was really bad, sorry to say.

The room was surprisingly spacious! It was more than enough for one person with luggage and personal belongings, and even suitable for two, offering great value for money. The room was quite new, and the bathroom facilities were very clean and modern, making them pleasant to use. Upon entering the room, I was pleasantly surprised to find the air conditioning already on, and there was a candy on the bed. All the drinks in the mini-fridge were complimentary. The uncle at the front desk was incredibly enthusiastic and explained important details to me in English, such as the free items in the fridge. You need to leave your key at the front desk every time you go out, and there's always someone at the front desk 24 hours a day. The breakfast was abundant and fresh, and the waiter even proactively asked if I wanted coffee and made me a latte with latte art. Dining: The hotel is surrounded by plenty of businesses. Across the street, there are shops, a bakery, and a coffee shop. There are several good restaurants, and I had both my dinners on the same street as the hotel; the restaurants were still open at 10 PM. Transportation: It's only 500 meters from Milan Central Station, and the bus station is also nearby. It was convenient for a day trip to Genoa by train, and getting to the airport by train and bus was also very easy.

The room was really small, and the elevator was tiny too, probably because of the vintage style, you even had to use a key to unlock the door. It's very close to the train station, and there are good Chinese restaurants nearby. The location is excellent.

This hotel is super conveniently located, just a 3-5 minute walk from the central station. It's really clean, and the air conditioning was fantastic – already running at a comfortable 20 degrees Celsius when I walked into the room, which was a lifesaver in Europe! When I checked out, the lady at the front desk was so thoughtful, asking if I wanted still or sparkling water for my journey. Very impressed with the service.

Excellent location in the heart of Milan. Within walking distance to the Duomo di Milano. Many B&Bs in Milan don't have air conditioning, especially during the hot summer, but this hotel offers AC 24/7 at a similar price point to a B&B. There are many popular restaurants on the main street right outside. The best part is that it's also within walking distance to Milan Central Station, where you can catch buses to all the airports. Plenty of shops nearby, making it convenient for shopping. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Milan.

The location is super convenient, just a few minutes' walk to the train and subway stations. The front desk staff were also very friendly. The only downside is that the facilities are a bit old, but otherwise, everything else was good.
