Rea Boutique Hotel

The family owen Hotel is beautiful with some rooms with beautiful wiew over the bay.Very good service in all ways.The breakfast is excellent and the manger and his wife and staff is super in all ways.Himare is a very good place and Rea Boutique Hotel is excellent.

We stayed at Rea Boutique Hotel for 3 nights in the middle of our Albania itinerary and had a pleasant stay. This is a slightly difficult review to write because, compared to other places we stayed in Albania, it was very comfortable and felt more ‘premium’, but considering it alongside other ‘boutique’ hotels we’ve stayed at, the experience was more mixed. For example, the hotel is accessed via what looks like a service road and the entrance comprises a desk and a sign for a different property occupying the ground floor. On arrival, there were basically no pleasantries from the young woman on reception, just directions to the parking lot and confirmation that ‘breakfast isn’t included’. It didn’t feel very ‘boutique’. However, once we were settled in, we enjoyed our comfortable room with balcony and sea view (both from the bedroom and the bathroom), and the location at the end of the main street in Himare worked well for us because it was close to (but sufficiently away from) the hustle and bustle of the town. Breakfast came at a fairly high additional cost and the restaurant didn’t seem particularly atmospheric on the evenings we were there, so we didn’t eat there at all. Other than being able to borrow kayaks and towels, there didn’t seem to be any other facilities, which was a little disappointing in light of the references to beach access / sun loungers on the booking platform we used. Although there was a stretch of beach very close, which had comfortable-looking loungers on it, when we asked at reception about using the loungers, we were advised that these did not belong to the hotel and if we wanted to use them we would need to arrange rental ourselves. It was a shame that the level of service wasn’t a little more caring and attentive to match the ‘boutique’ name and price tag. Although we did have a lovely and comfortable stay (one of the best of our 2 weeks in Albania) and we would recommend this hotel to other visitors to Himare, with a few small tweaks the overall experience could easily be so much better.

Rea Boutique Hotel is a beautiful, local experience with personalized touches at every turn. From the gorgeous rooms to the customized meals, nothing is too much of a request! Jacuzzi rub = heaven! We appreciated their willingness to do laundry for us after traveling around Europe for two weeks as well as storing our luggage for a day! We loved getting to know the staff and their family story. 10/10 recommend and can’t wait to send our friends to Himare to experience this property. A true highlight of our time in Albania!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Rea Boutique Hotel and honestly couldn’t fault a thing. The room was exceptional – beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The service was outstanding throughout our stay; every member of staff was friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. Nothing was ever too much trouble. One of the things we particularly loved was the flexibility offered by the hotel. Breakfast and dinner could be served to your room if you wished, allowing you to relax and enjoy the spectacular surroundings in complete comfort. The views are simply breathtaking, with panoramic vistas across the bay and over Himarë town. Waking up to such scenery each morning was a real highlight. The restaurant was equally impressive. Every meal was delicious, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and beautifully prepared. The food was consistently tasty and exceeded our expectations. Rea Boutique Hotel offers the perfect combination of luxury, comfort, exceptional service, and stunning views. We would highly recommend it and would not hesitate to return.

This beautiful family-owned boutique hotel gave me a feeling of warmth, care and genuine hospitality from the very first moment. Even before I arrived, they welcomed me with thoughtful messages, asking if I would like dinner and making sure I felt taken care of. It felt personal, warm and very special. Everyone working there had such good energy, they were kind, attentive and truly made me feel welcome. You could feel that this place is run with heart. The food was another highlight. Everything was made from scratch, with ingredients from their own local garden. Their olives were handpicked to make their own olive oil, and the figs were used to create the most beautiful homemade sweet spoon dessert. Every detail felt intentional, authentic and full of love. I stayed in the Artemis room, which was absolutely beautiful, elegant and peaceful. The hotel is perfectly located at the end of the beach, and honestly, you do not even need a swimming pool when you have the sea right outside your door. This place is not just a hotel, it is an experience. Highly, highly recommended.

An exceptional hotel - right on the water, with modern, comfortable rooms and owned and managed by a delightful family. During our week in Albania, this was our favourite hotel and the breakfast was the best we had anywhere. It is worth going to Himare just to stay here.

Family owned hotel with very much heart - we had a really nice stay here. The service, the hotelroom the breakfast everything was perfect. We are the first time in albania - we get the perfect start for our trip. The view on the ocean is Beautiful in the morning - and they did everything to make our stay at himare perfect.

Amenities.......bed, huge and comfortable. Location ..so close to town but feels like a village rice field full of frogs and birdsong. Service...great ! Food...one of the owners is a 5 star chef...standards are very high. He,s also a conniseur of coffee ! Reu is unique...I wrote this this morning while waiting for the rain to pass...... "Rain slowed my early morning plans today....been recording some of the fab staff and gorgeous design elements of this unique hotel.....its about grounding, health, balance, at one with its land and its traditions...a destination in itself...then you have HoiAn as well ! "

in a world of chat bots and faceless service this lovely hotel is an analog reminder of how good service can be . The hotel is very nicely designed and the rooms are well functioning with great air conditioning, beds and bathrooms. Right on the waterfront, no need for a pool here . Breakfast is good with fresh homegrown vegetables. But in all the most important ingredient is the family that run this place .. so warm and welcoming that I felt i was part of the family
