The trip was one of the best stay my wife and I have ever had. We have traveled from Greece to Dubai. The food is all inclusive but it is top tier. I was shocked how gourmet the food preparation was. This is not mass produced food awaiting guests, but carefully curated food. The views are incredible. There are views on top of views on top of views. The resort staff was impeccable. Glen is epitome of professional and the waitress Trouble is GOOD trouble lol. She is a welcoming soul. The resort is very private so only I think 14 units. We had the two bedroom which was exceptional. The upstairs balcony overlooking the ocean. We can’t rave about how the pics and food raving undersell this property. Make sure to do the cave dinner! Wow! A life changing experience. You will NEVER forget the experience and the five course meal is beyond the price asked.

We visited The Caves in May 2026, as a couple looking for a relaxing vacation. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend! It is definitely geared towards couples, we had a great time chatting over drinks and activities with the other couples. We're in our early 30s, and were the "young crowd", however I loved that. It is a quiet resort, 1-2 activities a day. We loved the rum tasting with Omar, painting with Tunisia, yoga, and fitness class with Jovi! We had a great time snorkeling with Fabian as well, and just swimming around. If you want a change of pace, taxi to Skylark on 7 mile beach, we had them drop us off at Ricks Cafe after and it is a short walk back to The Caves. Food was great, they especially excel at soups and sauces over the different protein dinners. The drive from Montego Bay is ~2 hours depending on traffic. I do think you need decent physical abilities here to enjoy the full experience, there are lots of stairs and the only way in and out of the ocean is the ladders. (The middle ladder is probably the easiest) It is worth it though, and the food, drinks, and views are great either way. There are plenty of inflatables, life jackets, etc available from the lifeguard. My favorite swim was into Blue Hole when the morning light hits, so cool! We stayed in the Blue Hole room, very quiet. You can only hear the waves without the fans/AC on, and you can hear some activity in the mornings near breakfast time. Not fancy rooms, but very clean and taken care of. We spent all of our time outside of the room anyways. The private cave dinner is SO unique and romantic, candles everywhere. The staff is on top of it, we loved Randy and Stacy. The only thing I miss from a larger resort would be drink service while at the loungers, there just isn't enough staff to do this all day. (However, you do burn off some calories and drink only when you really want one, so that may be a positive!)

I recently spent Easter weekend at The Caves, and I can honestly say it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was exceptional. The staff struck the perfect balance—friendly, welcoming, and accommodating without ever being overbearing. Special shoutout to Randy and Stacy, who made us feel right at home, along with the rest of the amazing team (even those whose names I didn’t get). As someone who lives in Jamaica and has stayed at many hotels across the island, this was by far my best stay to date. The property itself is absolutely stunning. At night, the entire place is beautifully lit with wax candles, creating a magical and intimate atmosphere. The attention to detail throughout the property really stands out. We also loved the food—everything was delicious—and the self-serve drink option at the bars was a great touch that added to the relaxed, personalized experience. I would highly recommend The Caves to anyone looking for a unique, peaceful, and truly memorable stay in Negril. I’ll definitely be back!

Just a quick note to say how much we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Caves. Please pass along our praise to the owners and managers of Island Outpost, emphasizing the extraordinary care the entire staff provided and how they made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The property's natural beauty and unique setting provide a fantastic design allowing us to enjoy a wonderful sense of both privacy and community among the guests, making for a wonderful visit. Your culinary and service staff made us eager to enjoy what was certain to be the next best meal and dining experience of the week. Thanks for a wonderful visit we hope to repeat soon.

Amazing hotel! While the hotel may not be new, I found the rooms and grounds to be very clean and well maintained. The staff is warm, inviting, and invested in your stay. The food was also excellent. I felt like I was eating at someone’s home. Snorkeling is also super fun given the unique location and easy access to the water.

I can’t say enough great things about this resort. Absolutely beautiful property with AMAZING staff! This was our 4th trip and it did not disappoint! It has become our home away from home and feels much more like staying at a friends house than a hotel. Highly recommend! Can’t wait to return!

We just returned from an anniversary trip to the Caves, such an incredible time that our experience needed to be shared! The Caves is unique, breathtaking, unlike anywhere we have ever been but one of the most memorable trips we have ever taken. The hotel is built into the cliffs on the water, it is incredibly stunning. Jumping into the water from the cliffs and exploring the caves right on the property was unforgettable (all the catamaran tours from other resorts stop to look at the caves on property!) At most, there were seven total couples on property at the same time, so this feels almost like a private vacation, and there are plenty of corners and chairs to spend the day away from anyone else. Unlike some of the large resorts, no fighting for chairs early in the morning, which was a major plus for us. There is no beach, but you can jump from multiple places (including down long stairs right at the edge of the water) so the beach was not missed. Our room was open air (no glass on the windows), with a local AC unit over the bed, which felt more rustic than anywhere else we had ever stayed before, but fits the vibe of this place. The bed and sheets were very comfortable, and with the fans and AC going at night, we were never uncomfortable. Our window opened directly to a view of the ocean, and depending on the weather you could hear waves crashing from the bed in the morning. Highlight for us, easily the best food we had in Jamaica. Unlike some other resorts with buffets and mediocre food for the masses- there is one breakfast/lunch location, and a separate dinner restaurant. Each day, the menus are prepared featuring local Jamaican cuisine (but you can customize/order off menu), and the staff is very proud of sharing their local flavors with guests. Don't skip the private dining in the Cave on property, where a candle-lit cave on the water is the setting for a private dining experience. The staff goes above and beyond to get to know the guests, learn preferences, and make you feel at home at this beautiful place. By the end of the week, they knew our drink orders, how we liked our coffee, etc. which really put the experience here to the next level. They even let you go behind the bar and make your own drinks if no one is there! Special shout out to Randy, Omar, Stacey-Ann, Floyd and Racquel who made this place special. We’re already planning our return. Do yourself a favor and book it!

WOW... I have to say, I have travelled a lot but this place was one of my all-time favorites! My friends wanted to go to Sandals, and I promised them I could find a better spot, so I was nervous about how it would turn out...but everyone said it was their favorite place they've ever stayed! The location is spectacular and so unique, the food is outstanding, and above all, the staff were what really made a difference. Our new friends Earl, Glenn, Omar, Floyd, Randy, and ESPECIALLY Stacy-Ann took SUCH good care of us and made us feel so welcome and at home with tip-top service and a warmth that we will never forget. I will forever recommend The Caves for a unique and authentic way to experience Jamaica and can't wait to go back! Do yourself a favor and book this place if you can, you will be so glad you did.
