This guesthouse is absolutely fantastic! It's a renovated old house in Yancun village, and you can tell a lot of attention was paid to the details, preserving the unique characteristics of Huizhou ancient architecture. The housekeeper, Sister Jin, is incredibly warm and thoughtful, and her home-cooked dinners are delicious. Sister Jin told us she's a local resident of Yancun, and you can really feel the friendliness and simplicity of the local people through her.

This hotel, a beautifully renovated 300-year-old traditional house, is nestled in the picturesque Sixi Yancun village. The bedding is incredibly comfortable, and there's a cozy, charming little bar. We visited in early spring when it was still a bit chilly, so gathering around the fireplace with a drink was wonderfully relaxing. Butler Jin was excellent, arranging meals according to our schedule, and the food was delicious. The stream behind the hotel is lined with stunning rapeseed fields, making it a truly beautiful spot. Definitely worth another visit!

My friend and I had a great stay at Skywells. Xiao Jin was a great host and looked after us really well. The hotel was well located and the old building made it a really special stay. Our room didn’t have blinds on all the windows which was a bit of a challenge when the sun rose so early but otherwise a great stay!

A large comfortable former merchant's house with the promised skywells and a very attractive walled garden. A very good dinner and breakfast. Many thanks to Xiao Jin for a very pleasant stay.

Amazing place! Beautiful 300 years old house beautifully renovated. Right in the middle of the old part of the village. The rooms are very comfortable. I would love to come back.

My stay at Wuyuan Skywells was brilliant. The village is beautiful and so is the hotel, as well as the surrounding countryside. There are walks that you can do straight from the hotel and many places to visit with the help of a driver. Xiao Jin was an excellent host, took care of everything including organising drivers, making home cooked Chinese food and many more things - 5 stars! Would recommend to anyone who wants to see the real Chinese countryside.
