Homeinn Selected Hotel (Shanghai Pudong International Airport East Station)

The main issue is that while it claims to be near East Airport, the actual location is remote and isolated. A taxi ride cost over 70 RMB, and it's more than ten kilometers away from the airport. If you just need a place to stay overnight, there are much closer options near the airport in the same price range. The rooms are newly renovated, but there is no free airport shuttle—it costs 15 RMB per person. Also, the hotel lacks basic amenities like a microwave. The front desk staff seemed indifferent and their attitude was just average. Overall, the value for money is quite poor. I've listed all the pitfalls here, and I'm sorry, but I can't give this place a high rating.

The hotel's main advantage is its proximity to Pudong Airport. It's located within a large logistics park, making parking very convenient. There's a 'TELD' charging station right at the entrance, though it's not cheap. Guests get 24 hours of free parking with their stay. The room decor is a bit dated, probably around 60-70% new, and the overall cleanliness was just average. For a holiday rate of just over 200, it's quite a good deal. Breakfast is included and is typical of a budget hotel – enough to fill you up.

This is definitely the best choice for an airport layover. It includes breakfast, has a laundry room with a dryer, and the room is spacious. The service is professional and excellent.

I stayed here for a night during my layover at Pudong Airport. The room was nice, and I found it quiet enough for a good night's sleep even though I arrived late. The mattress was supportive and quite comfortable. They also offer a shuttle service to the airport in the morning.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was also exceptionally clean and tidy. I'd definitely stay here again.
