We went as a gruop of school students day out on April 04th 2025. The Hotel has arrange all the necessary requirements well matched to the gruop with extended time plan. It was well organised and all the group members were very delighted. Excellent Hotel situated in Kandy Sri Lanka. Pool - Excellent Food- delicious-Excellent Rooms - well maintained , clean can be considered as Excellent Overall- service, available amenities, location, and most importantly Management is well experienced-Excellent.

The resort is located amidst nature and you can see various birds right from your balcony. The staff is courteous, polite and welcoming. Rooms are spacious with necessary amenities. We stayed in cottages on the entry side of the resort. The location is peaceful and has good access to the city and nearby attractions. The property is huge and also offers spa, pool and gym. We faced a few small challenges regarding the room like - bathtub did not have its drain stopper and we were told that they don't have it, wc flush needed attention and the staff attended to that. Some parts of the room required attention in terms of cleanliness. The restaurant offers fresh, tasty and good quality food. Staff personally ensures that everything is going well. We were encouraged to share our feedback about the food and when we told them that most of the preparations served are either continental or oriental and we would like to try Sri Lankan food, they accepted it openly. What happened next floored us! We absolutely wholeheartedly appreciate that the Chef ensured that we received authentic Sri Lankan food for the next two meals with the restaurant! He personally discussed with us about the dishes and made sure that we could experience amazing Sri Lankan hospitality. Overall the experience was fantastic and this personal attention provided to different guests made it even memorable.

Our group of six visited Tree of Life Nature Resort for a day out, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. Upon arrival around 9:30 AM, the staff member we had contacted was in a meeting, and there was no one available to take our order. After messaging her, it still took over 40 minutes to prepare a single club sandwich and a cutlet portion. The resort was poorly maintained and untidy. When we requested access to the gaming room, it took another 15 minutes for a staff member to unlock it. However, the room was dusty, uncleaned, and had dead insects, making it completely unusable. Throughout our visit, no staff members checked on us or inquired about our needs, as they were preoccupied with meetings and lunch preparations. Considering the day package costs around Rs. 5300/-, the experience was far from worth it. While I cannot comment on the condition of their rooms, I would not recommend this resort for a day outing. The lack of customer service was evident, and I strongly suggest management conduct training sessions to improve hospitality standards.

We visited the Tree of Life last week, and it was a truly memorable experience. While it was my first time at this hotel, it holds a special place in my husband's family as an annual stop during his childhood. It was heartwarming to see how this place has grown and transformed over the past 30 years into the beautiful resort it is today. Nestled in the midst of the forest and far from the city's hustle and bustle, it’s a rejuvenating retreat for the mind and soul. Our stay was wonderful, thanks to the warm and attentive staff—from Jackie at the front office to housekeeping and F&B to the cleaners, everyone went above and beyond to make our visit special. Although we encountered a few issues with some appliances in our room, the staff responded promptly and resolved them quickly, ensuring our comfort throughout our stay. A special shoutout to Nelka and Thusitha from the Ayurvedic spa for completing our holiday with the most relaxing experience. The full-body massage I received from Nelka was hands down the best I’ve ever had. I’d say it’s worth a trip to Kandy just for that incredible massage! We can’t wait to return.
