This place is truly in a league of its own in Nanshan...
A friend recommended this Cantonese restaurant, and it's seriously popular🔥
It's packed even on weekdays, with a vibrant, authentic atmosphere. As soon as you walk in, you can see a row of clay pots slow-cooking, and the aroma hits you immediately. The food is consistently solid, with every bite full of authentic Cantonese flavor. There are also private rooms that are spacious and offer great privacy✅, making it perfect for friend gatherings, family dinners, or business events👏👏
⚠️Two things to note:
· Food might be slow during peak hours⏰—Everything is made to order, so service can be slower when it's busy. It's recommended to avoid the 12:00 PM–1:00 PM rush.
· Clay pot soup is limited daily🍲—They only make a fixed amount of slow-cooked soup each day, and once it's gone, it's gone. If you want a specific one, it's recommended to book in advance.
🔥Tried-and-tested must-orders, you can't go wrong:
🍲Almond pork lung soup—It's served in the whole pot, which feels very special. The ingredients are generous, and after long, slow cooking, the soup is milky, rich, and mellow with a gentle almond aroma. It tastes warm, fresh, and sweet; I could drink 2 bowls without it feeling heavy.
🐔White-cut orchard chicken—The chicken is high quality with a rich, natural flavor. The skin is refreshing and springy, and the meat is tender, smooth, and firm. Dip it in ginger paste, and the fresh sweetness really stands out.
🍖Plum sauce pork ribs—The ribs are cooked perfectly, coated in a plum sauce that balances sweet and sour just right. The meat isn't dry or tough, and the sweet-and-sour flavor is appetizing, making it perfect for summer.
🦪Razor clam and wild onion pancake—They are very generous with the razor clam meat, and the wild onion adds a great aroma. The pancake crust is slightly crispy, while the inside is soft and tender, locking in the fresh seafood flavor for a rich texture.
📸Best photo spots: The open clay pot station on the left as you enter. A row of steaming clay pots makes for a great, authentic shot. I recommend ordering a full table of dishes for a top-down view. Take a photo of the almond pork lung soup while it's still hot when served; the milky white color looks tempting even without filters📷
⏰Wait time: I arrived at 12:30 PM on a weekday and waited about 15 minutes. It's busier on weekends and during dinner service, so it's safer to arrive before 11:30 AM or 5:30 PM.
🅿️Parking guide: There are parking lots around the Gaoxin Garden South Area. You can use your receipt to get a parking discount. It's recommended to arrive 10 minutes early to find a spot🚗
