Hilton Garden Inn Monterey

The garden view is lovely and the bedding is comfortable. The only issue is that the water pressure from the faucet in the bathroom is very low. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but it's tasty and enough to fill you up. While sitting by the pool enjoying the bonfire, I spotted a cute little field mouse peeking out of its hole in the grass, haha.

Hygiene: Clean and tidy, excellent! Facilities: Well-equipped. Service: Attentive and warm. Environment: Beautiful natural surroundings. Booked this for someone else, they must have been very satisfied with this garden inn. A great experience for a trip.

The room was great, but it was a bit of a trek! No elevator, so I had to carry my luggage up and down the stairs.

The hotel has convenient parking and a great environment. The only downside is that you have to carry your luggage up the stairs yourself. As for housekeeping, they won't clean your room unless you specifically ask them to, and you need to arrange it in advance. The in-room phone doesn't work, so you have to call the front desk on your mobile phone for any services you need.

The hotel has a beautiful garden, a large parking lot, and a very nice pool. We happened to check in during an event, and the room we got wasn't great, but the hotel apologized for it. It's a 10-minute drive to the whale watching spot. Hotel prices in Monterey aren't cheap, and we had a comfortable Chinese meal at the pier.
