8.8 - Midsummer Weekend I came from Beijing to Guangzhou to see Jolin Tsai's concert, and this was the only guesthouse I chose for my trip. The room rate was just over 1500, which I thought was pretty good value for money. The housekeeper was available 24/7 to deliver takeout to guests. I ordered mine past 1 AM, and it was delivered very quickly. The guesthouse itself is very beautiful.

I'm very satisfied! It's quiet yet centrally located, with convenient transportation and attractions right next door. Plus, it's close to authentic Guangzhou neighborhoods like People's Park and Beijing Road. The bed was super comfortable, the room temperature was perfect, and it was impeccably clean. The staff were all very thoughtful. It was a really comfortable trip, offering excellent value for money. Both the emotional and practical value were top-notch. Highly recommend!

Excellent service, 24/7 instant replies, and the environment is very comfortable and clean. The breakfast is rich and tastes good too. I'll definitely stay here again next time.

This hotel has both noticeable pros and cons. Pros: The facilities are excellent. Hot water comes out almost instantly, the bedding is very comfortable, and the amenities are of high quality. The location is superb, making it convenient to get anywhere. The design is very distinctive. The butler group ensures quick service response, and food delivery can be brought directly to the room. Cons: 1. I was asked for my arrival time in advance, but there was almost no contingency plan for not being able to check in immediately and having to wait for the room (they didn't even mention beforehand that there might be a wait). 2. During check-in, they ask about breakfast and afternoon tea, but sometimes guests only find out it can be delivered to the room when they specifically ask. 3. The breakfast taste is very mediocre, and some dishes felt bland. 4. When cleaning the room, they took the used towels but didn't replace them with new ones. Overall, I feel it doesn't have a competitive edge in Guangzhou; at a similar price point, one could choose other top luxury hotels.

Whenever I travel, I love choosing guesthouses with local character. This time, I brought my parents along and wanted a place with a great ambiance. Meilie Ling truly exceeded expectations. It's the former residence of Chen Jitang from the Republic of China era, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling Liwan district. It's incredibly close to Yongqing Fang, Chen Clan Academy, and Liwan Lake Park, and the subway station isn't far either. No need to rent a car when visiting Guangzhou; taxis are readily available, and the subway connects directly to many places. The front desk staff was very capable, able to carry two large suitcases upstairs at once. The breakfast, afternoon tea, and late-night snacks were incredibly rich and varied. There were also executive privileges, like two whiskey nightcaps to help with sleep. The bedding was very comfortable; I slept wonderfully during my stay in Guangzhou. The toiletries were Le Labo. The decor, furniture, and even the food presentation were all exquisite and refined. The half-hour photo session with the photographer was also fantastic, producing great shots. They even gave us wife cakes when we left, which my parents enjoyed daily. Initially, my parents thought it was a bit pricey, but after staying, they felt it was absolutely worth it!

The room was very comfortable with a minimalist lighting design. The service was excellent, and the aesthetics had a strong local flavor.

Lots of cute kittens in the yard, and the food was good too! The location is convenient, and I loved the smell of the hallway! The guesthouse staff were also very helpful. I'll definitely come back if I have the chance!
