After staying for two days, I can confidently say that the service here is on par with a five-star hotel. As my daughter put it, 'the owner has great taste!' Adding the butler on WeChat was a breeze; messages were practically answered instantly. The included breakfast and afternoon tea were both beautifully presented. The breakfast, in particular, stood out with its antique-style food boxes, and the offerings were different each day, showcasing their exquisite attention to detail. Even the toiletries were top-notch; the hand soap in the lobby restroom was Aesop, which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel has an overall American style, with most of the amenities and staff uniforms made from linen. However, the service and attention to detail are reminiscent of a meticulous Japanese hotel. They've thought of everything, from umbrellas in the room to laundry detergent and Dettol in the laundry room. The complimentary water and drinks in the room were so plentiful, we couldn't even finish them all. Every time I walked into the lobby from outside, I was struck by its beauty, and the air conditioning was perfectly cool – so comfortable! Upon leaving, they even gave us some small pastries and helped us with our luggage to the car. Truly excellent service. Next time I'm in Guangzhou, I'll definitely be staying here again.

An excellent experience! It was my friends' first time staying in a Republic of China-era mansion like this, and they absolutely loved it, especially the tasteful bathroom facilities and the understated luxury of the room decor. The local Guangzhou eateries around Meilie were an added bonus!

The hotel is located in an old building. The room lighting creates a perfect ambiance, and it's very quiet in the evening. The pool is super big, and I loved the Le Labo Santal 33 scent. All the room's amenities are top-notch. The afternoon tea, late-night snacks, and breakfast were all thoughtfully prepared. They even kindly gave us pastries and cute lion dance figurines upon checkout.

Every time I visit Guangzhou, I usually book a hotel, but this time I chose Meilie Guest House and had an amazing experience! The service at the guest house was fantastic! They arranged afternoon tea, late-night snacks, and a delicious breakfast! The biggest surprise and highlight was their photography service. The photographer was so sweet and skilled at guiding poses and emotions during the shoot, and the photos turned out absolutely stunning! She was also excellent with post-production. I got some truly beautiful photos that I adore, and I loved the ambiance and photography style! I'll definitely book here again on my next trip to Guangzhou! (The little lion souvenir was super cute and I loved it! 😘)

This guesthouse is really unique, it feels like an old mansion. The service is excellent too; you can even dine in your room, and they offer afternoon tea, late-night snacks, and breakfast. I'll definitely book here again next time.

I'd say I'm quite satisfied. The butler service was excellent and prompt, and the environment was super relaxing and very photogenic. The three meals provided were also very satisfying! The travel photography was a pleasant surprise with great technique!
