Mayang Sari Beach Resort

This beach resorts belongs to the Nirwana Gardens, which has a lot hotels and resorts in the same area. Each resort and hotel cater to different travel needs. For this beach resort i stayed in, it is more for travellers who wanted some place quieter, and less crowded. There is a cafe here, where the breakfast is served and you can eat your lunch and dinner too. For choosing whether Garden View or Sea View, just think of the place like like, there are 2 rows of chalet. First row is beach facing, 2nd row is behind the 1st row. The cafe, defi cafe, served great food with large portion. Of course large is subjective. They do have half hour regular shuttle bus to the rest of the hotels and restaurants within their branch. For me, i prefer to walk to the Nirwana Resort hotel, where it’s cater more for families i think. The spice restaurant and kelong restaurant are buildings by themselves . You can also either take the shuttle bus or walk there. My garden view room, is very spacious. I really don’t have any comments, other than i like my room. All in all, if your objective is to have some quieter time and less noisy environment, i would said definitely choose this beach resorts. Last comment is that other than the inclusive breakfast, do be prepared to pay resort pricing for your other meals.

What can you say when you have a huge room 56sq m, complete with toiletries. Working aircon and ceiling fan. Excellent senior staff service [eni,yunni, swardhi..many of whom have more than 2 decades of exp in the hotel n service in the same establishment..gonna miss them when they retire next year coz they are not just serving their guests. They remember their guests and serve from their hearts with a personal touch] love the breakfast and the yuni's recommendation to try their kunyit assam shot (turmeric shot) with honey and lime. Their cafe deli service ..superb. indo food esp beef rendang and tong seng kambing ...sedap !!! The best. (You will enjoy the idyllic sandy beach . Pristine. Quiet without noisy families n screaming children)

Lovely private beach with individual unit Banglow for full privacy. The beach is beautiful with crystal clear sand. Sea view chalet is awesome and you are a few feet away from beach. Since this is a private beach resort, the only thing is that you are away from a lot of amentities. There is only one reatuarant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can order food and they will deliver to you from main kitchen from Nirwana Gardens resort. No swimming pool here but you can take shuttle bus to go to main resort for swimming pool. Overall, we enjoyed the stay.

The service of the staff was exceptional. The reception staff were very friendly, courteous & helpful to attend to our queries.

The hotel is part of a bigger resort property. The hotel location is good and the staff service attitude is great. However, the quality of the foods served in the restaurants are not good. The goods sold in the Happy Marts inside the resort property are extremely overpriced which are 3 to 4 times more expensive than in Singapore. Further, the gym in the Recreation Centre has a very strong mouldy smell. The quality of the SPA is not good. The technique of the masseurs should be improved. Also, the air-conditioner in the massage room is broken. Not worth to have any SPA treatment there.

Amazing place to stay if you need to just relax and recharge in the calm. Just idle time sitting in the patio of your sea view villa and enjoy looking at the sea or walking by the beach collecting sea shells and finding baby mud crabs inside of the sea shells. It was not our first time staying at Mayang Sari or one of the other Nirwana properties. Hence, the smiling staff with their impeccable service levels is never a surprise but always a pleasure. Mayang Sari has its own restaurant, the Deli Cafe, where you can get local and western delicacies and drinks. The property has an Indian restaurant, Spice, which is a 5 minute walk from Mayang Sari, and Nirwana also has its own restaurant. They have a pick and drop shuttle from the ferry terminal, which makes it very convenient. Just a call put that this is Lagoi, so please don't expect to have malls around, and the city centre falls in the Tanjung Pinang area.
