A famous breakfast spot in Shandao Temple. Located in the public market, the open space has long lines and is notoriously unhygienic. The scallion pancake skin is crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The best filling is a fried egg. The soy milk is their signature dish, rich and delicious. The peanut soup, with a slightly burnt aroma, arrives quietly with a hint of milky white. The peanuts, cooked to a soft and sweet consistency, melt in your mouth. Absolutely addictive!
The breakfast shop is located in a Food Republic-like space, sharing a dining area with other restaurants. It's popular with tourists, but there's also plenty of Taipei locals who come specifically for a hearty breakfast.
There were quite a lot of people lining up, but it was much smaller than before when the line went downstairs. The fried dough sticks were very crispy. Everything was delicious, no wonder it became an Internet celebrity. Fuhang Soy Milk is the most popular breakfast shop in Taipei. The queue was longer than that of Din Tai Fung, but the speed of buying a cup of soy milk was faster.
We went there early in the morning and there was a line. It was very crowded, but it moved quickly. We ordered salty soy milk, which was different from the salty soy milk in Shanghai. It was a bit like tofu pudding, but not quite the same. I thought it was quite delicious, but my friend didn't like it so much.
Fuhang Soy Milk is Taipei's most popular breakfast spot. The lines are longer than at Din Tai Fung's main branch, but the soy milk is sold much faster. This breakfast shop isn't exactly cheap, but it's still decent. I ordered their rice milk, which was so sweet I couldn't finish it.
